This is an interesting episode - it is kind of trippy, what with the dancers by the bonfire, and then the bit where Father pulls the Pinako "mask" off to reveal Hohenheim's face. It's also an interesting episode to go back and watch a second time near the end of the series, since things that are going to happen make a lot more sense when you add this episode in context. Every time I watch it I pick up more details that I missed the last times, because some of them are very subtle, and this recap does a good job of bringing the really pertinent parts forward and making sure they're fresh in your memory as you get ready to hit the halfway point. What you said about strong women made me laugh a little, since I know what's coming up in a couple of episodes. We're going to be meeting some very interesting characters soon. Last thing - your reaction to "explosive guy" from the intro having a Philosopher's Stone. Pay very close attention to the different colors of light whenever alchemy is used, and I think you'll realize a significant detail that most people overlook the first time they watch this show, but it's one that will become important much later.
