Please give a very warm welcome to The Animated Heroine! Thank you for editing this episode! She does some really cool videos that you can check out on her channel too :) I'm a fan of her videos comparing and contrasting movies with similar themes.

Westworld 1x1 The Original Early Reaction!

I think it's moreso that the bullet doesn't fire against humans, it's just goes off like a blank, and the guns have sensors. Just what I assumed.

Even after 2 seasons I still don't understand how the magic bullets work. You shoot a guest and it turns to chalk, you shoot a host and it goes right through.

haha maybe somewhere down the line!

Ohhh interesting! Thanks for the information :) I was hoping to check out the OST at some point but didn't want to get spoiled, but now I can listen to that one song :)

You'll need to check out the original 1973 film with Yul Brenner. ;)

I'm so glad you're watching this show. It's amazing. I won't say too much because part of the fun of this show is trying to figure it out. But it is written by Jonathon Nolan (Chris Nolan's brother) and Lisa Joy. As you mentioned in your commentary, the world of Westworld was designed and inspired by video games. Jonathon has spoken about how he saw it as a real world open world video game, sorta speak. Also, I know you're a big TLOU fan like me, so I thought I'd share this with you. The girl that kissed the android, she's played by Shannon Woodward, who actually plays Dina in TLOU Part Two. Another connection is also that Halley Gross (co-writer for TLOU Part Two) also writes for Westworld. In regards to you feeling sympathy for the androids, I like to think that you feel for that because you're a nice guy that feels empathy. Even if you know they're "not real", you still see them as real. I always feel the same way, and I think the show does interesting things in regards to how you may feel going forward. Edit: Oh yeah the music is amazing. The songs that play in Westworld are real life songs. I don't know if you noticed that. In this episode, the song playing in the Saloon was "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden. You should keep an eye out for the others ^.^

Oooh, this is a nice surprise! I really like this show a lot. It's actually based off of an old movie, though the two don't have much in common aside from the setting. They went in a really different and fascinating direction with the show. Looking forward to seeing what you think of the rest. They actually filmed some of this in the town I live! The desert scenes. My husband worked as an on-site EMT for them, saw some of the actors and stuff.
