Even Bernard was a father-figure to Elsie before Ford had him kidnap her in S1. And Dolores took over as creator/parent to the new Teddy. So, 4 parent-child relationships, 4 different outcomes of varying levels of tragedy. Actually...5, if you include Emily & her mom.
