Father didn't really create humans. He just created new bodies for the souls that were within him.

Go Ed!

I love how everyone worked together to wear down Father's philosopher's stone and it really paid off since Ed is kicking his ass right now.

Rogue Agent

Interesting thought about getting more dexterous with his left arm! And LOL yeah Winry is way scarier than Father :P

Ed's thoughts as his arm is destroyed by Father's blast: "Oh crap! Winry's gonna kill me!" LOL. One of the best episodes in the entire show. Father's manipulation was perfectly done to distract them so that they couldn't be ready to block that attack. Ling has definitely rubbed off on Greed. The first Greed that Ed and Al would never have been willing to do what the current Greed has done. The first Greed was also born directly from Father, like all of the other homunculi save Bradley. The current Greed was a human-based homunculi, and Ling willingly allowed him in. Greed also knew that for Father to take his Stone, he would have to drop his own defenses which would give the others an opening. Al's sacrifice is amazing - it's the culmination of his entire character arc over the past 61 episodes. And what May had to go through - being the one who had to create the opening for Al to make that sacrifice when she clearly cares about him so deeply. I think Father underestimated the Briggs soldiers. He has always viewed humans as a lesser lifeform, so he never thought that they could do anything to him - he ran when Ed dumped the lava on him, because he probably knows that alchemists could be a threat, especially after Scar unlocked their full potential with the reverse transmutation array. But ordinary humans - he's been manipulating them since he was created from Hoenheim's blood - Hoenheim was the first one he manipulated, after all. Mustang's control is amazing - and he's military. Not a sniper, but he does have the same tactical training as Hawkeye, so he can use her eyes like a spotter to aim his power. Very clever, and it shows that Mustang - very much like Ed and Al - isn't letting what he lost stop him in the moment. He couldn't fight down below because there wasn't anyone he trusted enough to use their eyes in that way, but now he's back with the person he trusts most and he can let loose. I think Ed threw the spear with his left arm because, if you look closely when his arm comes back, there's a distinct difference in the musculature. Ed's been working out, using his left arm, developing the muscles, etc. ever since he lost his right arm. Now that it's back, you can clearly see the muscles are underdeveloped - just like Al's real body is. Not that Ed can't use his right arm, but to throw that spear with that much force and weight behind it, he needed the full strength of an arm that he's been using all this time. There's also some fan theories that the automail arm wasn't as dexterous as his left arm, so he was forced to become a lefty in order to write and do anything requiring fine motor control, but I don't know if that was ever confirmed by the manga author. There is a scene in episode two that shows him writing with a quill feather with his right arm, but I don't know if we get any other shots of him writing with his left hand after the human transmutation. Just two full episodes and the blooper reel to go!
