2021-02-07 06:52:10 +0000 UTCAll aboard the S.S. KiriBaku! Best friends for LYFE! I appreciate that Deku is aware enough to put Kirishima at the front of his plans regarding Bakugo. It shows that Deku doesn't hold any weird notions about what his own relationship to Bakugo is or isn't. But lemme tell you that when I FIRST saw this scene and realized that Bakugo was going to willingly initiate physical contact with someone, my heart soared. Bakugo hasn't willingly touched another person unless they're fighting. No handshakes, high fives, or even rescue-grabs. Japanese culture isn't super touchy, but Deku and his friends at least high five or dap from time to time. Kirishima always has his arm around Bakugo's shoulders, but Bakugo always shies away from intimacy of any kind. It's nice to see him hold his (boy)friend's hand.
