RWBY 6x3- The Lost Fable Early Reaction!

I saw this theory (from Reddit I think?) that the Faunus came to existence because when the Gods departed, the moon was destroyed, and fallen pieces from the shattered moon hit the earth like asteroids, and the obliterated humans turned into Dust. And only humanity was wiped out so the animals were still around, and some of them might've eaten the Dust (*shudders*) which gave them some sort of magic to gain intelligence and eventually evolve into human-like forms. Interesting theory lol

Festivalkyrie

Yeah really loved this chapter. There was so much to unpack here. Your thoughts were great to read! Looking forward to see how it all plays out in the coming chapters/volumes.

And this is the episode that made Ozpin and Salem my favorite characters and also made me start hoping that somehow, Ozpin and Salem's relationship is how they defeat her. After all, it's what started all this, it's only fitting that it helps end it. One of my biggest questions about the reincarnation thing is, does Ozpin keep his original semblance(if he had one), or does he use the semblance of his current carnation? Does he keep the semblances of his old lives? After all, the souls start separate before merging into one, so how does that work? The gods did also tell Salem how to remove her immortality, by learning the value of both life and death, she would be able to rest. But she instead kept trying to spite them, leading an army to try to kill them. Yeah, they definitely could have done something else, but Salem was also doing everything wrong. But all this adds complexities to both Ozpin and Salem that I love. (I also kinda ship them, but not as they *are* together more like I wish they were *still* together having lived together and changed for the better) but Ozpin doesn't control who his soul goes to, I'm sure many times he got reincarnated into the body of someone who already had a family, which kinda sucks cause it means he's likely lost many families, and I'm sure there's been at least one time his soul entered a woman's body, which must have been weird. The God of Light was trying to follow rules he and the God of Darkness created together, one of which is not to disrupt the balance of life and death. The god of darkness didn't really care for the rules, and was just going to do whatever he liked (as he said) but after hearing Salem lied to him because GoL wouldn't do it he realized Salem was manipulating him to bring Ozma back, she didn't actually believe only he could do it, like she had told him. They punished her for trying to manipulate them, and when the GoD destroyed humanity, GoL wanted to give humanity a second chanc- he knew eventually they'd evolve back into existence-so he gave Ozma the chance to help them. I don't think the reincarnation was meant to be punishment for Ozma, but it turned into one. Unlike Salem, Ozma didn't do anything wrong and i believe the GoL wanted to ensure Ozma didn't have to go through what Salem did, what he didn't count on was Ozma and Salem doing everything they did. It also doesn't help that she's been altered by the pools of Grimm, but I think if she can be redeemed it would be through whatever humanity is left in her being able to overcome the Grimm part Just my thoughts on this episode.

Demiurge

yeah, I get the impulse behind it but augh :( frustrating

The God of Light: "No I could never bring Ozma back, that would disrupt the balance of the world" Also The God of Light: Makes Ozma reincarnate over and over to maintain the balance of the world

Also I think the main secret Oz was hiding... was Salem being immortal and Jinn telling him she can't be destroyed. He feels that they will give up on fighting her or trying to beat her if it seems impossible.

CRWBY has also stated that we dont have to call Ozpin, Ozma. Because Ozpin takes on the names of his incarnations. He doesn't want to be called that name anymore. Like a dead name. (Ozpin has alot of self hatred.)

Kayleigh McRae

I do understand why Ozma tried to leave with the children. He wanted to keep them safe from her influence. He realized she wasn't who he thought anymore. And he didn't want her training her daughters in order to genocide the human race and who knows what else. I understand that it was a bad move. But I understand why he did it. He wanted his daughters to have a normal life. Sadly... now they are gone.

Kayleigh McRae

The daughters aren't the maidens. It's just that one of Ozma's next lives, he was the old hermit. And he meets the maidens and regains his courage and drive. Gifts them the powers. They reminded him of his daughters. Or who they could have been.

its basically Greek gods

Boooo >:(

Im so glad you immediately called out the gods on their bullshit. The light god dared to say i understand how you feel but honestly how could any omnipotent being truly understand loss? They could have just as easily sent her to the afterlife to be with Ozma but they acted like spiteful children
