You wondered a couple of times where the rest of the staff of the park went: they left on the boat Nedry was desperately trying to get to! Also, I think Alan throwing the raptor claw away is more of a way to symbolize his new fondness for kids, since he used it before to scare another one.

I don't know why, but when they came out I just couldn't get excited enough to watch them. I didn't hate the trailers or anything, I guess my enthusiasm just stops after jurassic world.

2024-07-19 03:52:14 +0000 UTCBelated review-sorry for earlier comment on nerding out to Laura Dern lol. But so glad you enjoyed the movie! To me it has everything, including element of horror. It has some fantastic tense, action/suspense scenes. Acting was top tier, and so was the music, and special effects. The characters were interesting, and mulity layered. The discussions mixed philosophy and science, which I loved watching. And it taught me a lot on DNA stuff when I was a kid. Now in the book Hammond was basically evil, here they just made him unqualified to handle this job. The rest of the movies are worth watching at some point, too I also stanned Ellie Satler hard-even before I was too familiar with Laura's career, lol. I just loved how she was portrayed. Edit: As far as why there are sequels, there's a sequel book called Lost World-so that is why the second one is made. The third one as probably just for money, lol, that and combining the love people had for the movies

2024-07-18 23:28:47 +0000 UTCOne of my favourite films! Definitely the best in the series - both of the original trilogy and the newer ones. These original practical effects are so much better than any of the cgi in the newer films. Of the original 3 films, this is best, followed by #3, and then Lost World aka #2 IMO. About your comment at the end about the only ones to make it big in Hollywood being Jeff Goldblum and Sam Jackson... maybe look up Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Richard Attenborough - all three are/were big names.
