Thanks for sharing your thoughts and insights! I love this show and am sad that there's no more after the next two episodes :(

1:00 - Yes, that's a reference to Amphibia. There's a ton of them in this show, and Amphibia snuck in a few references to TOH as well. The two shows aired concurrently. Amphibia, Owl House, and Gravity Falls all had a lot of overlap of artists and writers, so it makes sense. You'd think Gravity Falls having finished long before the two other shows aired would preclude it having references to Amphibia or Owl House, but Eda and Owlbert actually appeared in a Gravity Falls comic a year before TOH's first episode was broadcasted! 6:28 - There's a lot of debate about just how much time passed through the course of the show and there's no way to reconcile the events to a consistent timeline, unfortunately. Amity says they've been there for months, but we know that the events of Reaching Out take place on August 22nd and Thanks to Them takes place around Halloween, a span of time of about 70 days. After that, we have the events of Them's the Breaks Kid and Hollow Mind, which seem to take a full day each, and then we're told in Clouds on the Horizon that Luz's sailing voyage took her away for a week. That doesn't seem to leave "months" for them to actually be in the human world. We in the fanfiction community basically just shrug and say "i'unno." 21:10 - Masha was one of the kids from summer camp who Vee encounters back in Yesterday's Lie when she's out looking for magic. This is her first time meeting them with her new look, but it seems Masha still finds her oddly familiar. Yeah, us fanfic writers have a field day with that. XD By the way, though it won't be pertinent for the rest of the series, Masha has they/them pronouns on their name placard on the desk and their nails are painted in the colors of the nonbinary pride flag. Two enbies in one show! I love and hate that this is probably a record for animated media in an already incredibly LGBT-inclusive series. 32:30 - Curiously, the storyboards for the haunted hayride are a bit different. Rather than Flapjack, Evelyn's hand just contains fire; however, Masha says scraps of Philip's diary indicated that Caleb was lured away by "strange symbols," and the background is populated by geometric shapes encased in circles. The implication appears to be that Evelyn taught Caleb how to use glyph magic... 36:05 - A lot of us have the sense that between this and Luz projecting herself upon the character being discussed in class, saying "it would have been better if he literally never existed," that she might very well have been expressing suicidal ideation. Luz truly hits rock bottom in the episode. She's depressed, she isn't sleeping, she obviously hates school and still feels alienated from other people, she thinks her friends should hate her and WILL if they learn that she helped Philip... It's another example of the series talking about very serious matters in a way that people of all ages can meaningfully access. 43:10 - Notice how Hunter's eyes changed from magenta to brown... 45:20 - Amity echoing Luz's words from the night they started dating is so... gah, I love this show so much. Just two more episodes left...
