Added 2023-06-05 09:21:28 +0000 UTCThe App has been not only my first story, but also the most 'controversial' in a way. I kept working on it for months, deleting a lot of renders, rewriting the next piece so many times..
I went through a darker period a few months back, and doing this 'job' has been pretty much the only thing keeping me stable mentally and motivated to better myself. I didn't want to make the story that made me who I am after one 18 months something worse, darker as well.
I know blood and guts in videogames and movies are a plus, but when you do 60 renders with almost nothing else, it starts to get to you. You want out. Sorry for those that want to see tinies ripped to pieces by a giant hot chef, you'll still see that in a separate post where I'll reveal all of them with a 'secondary ending', later this month, but it won't be part of The App. Apologies for that.
In the last few days I started something else, it wasn't supposed to be "yet another new story" (I might just make comics, quicker work, with the extra ones I have made and abandoned), but a development of an idea for The App Chapter 5 that I was thinking about last October, right before I ended up in a dark place in my mind.
I'm on it now.
It won't be easy, cuz I have learned a lot in these months (you can probably tell by my render quality), but there is much I struggle with yet, and I like to aim for perfection.
I might end up enjoying "The App Cpt. 5" so much I won't let Tony out of it again.
Enjoy this little something (uh..) for now. It's already proving to be challenging work, but I'll push myself again and learn how to do more magick.
