I agree about Sheldon's intentions. Didn't hear about Regina King's son till I looked it up just now. :( RIP

2023-06-13 20:07:08 +0000 UTCI had a similar experience like Regina Kings character, I was the only black kid at this writing camp and one of the instructors bought me The Color Purple, she said "I think you will like this." I was like "uh thanks." Sweet lady though I didn't take offense. I feel like there's a line between being naïve and straight up racism, I was in a lot of white spaces growing up so people would ask to touch my hair and ask if it was naturally curly haha. So Sheldon giving her that book I feel like is just his natural naivety IMO. Overall good episode, and made even better by Miss Regina King. RIP to her son.

2023-06-13 18:06:53 +0000 UTCI'm almost positive that, if this episode had been made in 2018 or afterwards, Sheldon would've gotten Mrs. Davis a copy of "Black Panther" on Blu-ray or DVD. That definitely would've been a better gift. XD
