One reactor I sponsored this show for said Bluey reminded her a LOT of herself, as a kid. I think Bluey is the kind of kid that likes to take charge of the game, and kind of order everyone else around. Groups tend to need leaders, or they meander about. Because of that reason your theory is probably correct. Bluey most likely IS the glue of the friend group.

She can play with all of them and does, she's like.. the center piece in this classroom/friend group. Sure they play without her, maybe it's because the show is mainly about her, but she does feel like the core. Idk if that makes sense or not
