...if you haven't heard the news, then you are in for a doozy! I'm going to help make a video game! That's right, I was hired to be a concept artist for an upcoming title, and my first day was on Monday. Am I dreaming?
I'm really excited to join the PTG family. In fact, I've already submitted three concepts! Think of this as my amazing part time opportunity, because I'll still be making plenty of body art.
So how did this happen? Well I've known video game industry veteran Chris Wright (who is also an amazing supporter) for 20 years. We've talked about making a game for y e a r s. He started his own studio, and after having an extensive background at studios like Bungie and Blizzard, he was ready to make something special. After some things fell in place, he proposed I join their team to make this all a reality.
I said yes, of course. Now just imagine playing with my art in three dimensions! As you can imagine, I've already run into my first area of opportunity. A good tablet would make things much easier! I did a lot of shading with a mouse today, which was a fun challenge, but it does not account for pressure. Do you have any recommendations on drawing tablets you've enjoyed?
Thank you for your continued support and please join me in celebrating this wonderful day!
