Shows + Updates + Ten Of Wands

Hey friends! Big post, but I'll try to keep it brief. 

FEAR CON - THIS FRIDAY + SATURDAY

I'll be attending (and painting at) Fear Con this weekend. So if you're in Arizona, you have an opportunity to meet me, and see me work! In fact, I'm pleased to announce I'll be painting Bennett Allen Wood!

If you have any unsigned artwork of mine that you'd like for me to sign, I'm happy to do this as well. :)

October 15-16, 2021
Friday 10/15:  5pm – Midnight
Saturday 10/16: 11am – Midnight

I'll be there Friday from 5pm until probably Midnight (depending on how busy it is). In a booth more than likely!

Saturday will likely be late afternoon, but I'm not sure if I want to paint both days. I've got volunteers though!

TAROT UPDATE

Hey we've got mock up cards! It's fun to see them in 3D like this, don't you think? I've been building out the Tiers, documenting what vendors provide what goodies, and getting samples from lots of places. Donald is still working on the video, Chelsey is working on press (but needs me to figure out a few things as far as the goal $, and the launch date). Leigh is working on sending out missing model release forms.  

Basically everything is coming together, but I'll be honest, it's a lot. Still pushing through!

Waiting to hear back on the cost for a prototype deck (gulp) that I need for the pitch video. 

We also plan on rolling out an early bird special for Patrons only.

TEN OF WANDS

Are you feeling the weight of...well everything? The destination is within sight, the hardest part is over, and soon you will be able to recharge and reflect. This is the Ten of Wands.

As you ease your burdens, take a moment to reflect and connect with yourself. If you've been carrying the weight of the world, then please make time for yourself! There is only one you.

Thank you to Tina Trugilio who modeled this with gorgeous grace. It's no surprise that she's also a Yoga instructor, and is moments away from opening up her own studio! So cool, right?

I think that's a good motto! Everybody is welcome. :) Let's talk about the original debut, versus the card debut today.

Strangely I only ever released one photo from the camera (and I think a cell phone sneak peek). So pretty much all of this is new! 

After reviewing the photos though, I did not keep the photo below as a Tarot card option. It's too wide. Easy choice!

For the card selection, I chose a photo that I could create a "sense of burden". She's holding what appears to be all of the staves on her back, while also wielding two smaller, feistier sticks of mercury retrograde. That's a lot to handle, but that's the Ten of Wands for you. 

The good news is it represents the end of a cycle, and I feel the deck completion getting closer and closer. <3
