Back from Camp!
Added 2024-07-27 03:12:39 +0000 UTCWow! Words fail me, but I had such an incredible time at Heart Camp.
So many of the counselors said "you would have no idea it was your first year". Even kids from other cabins said they wanted my back!
I helped with their skit, and people said it was the most memorable sing a long they have seen in years and started to recite it on the spot.
Got so much love throughout the week and everyone affirmed I was doing a good job- which I don't know why it surprised me, but I didn't expect to pick it up so naturally. I helped these kids experience 18 different activities including Horseback Riding! WHICH I LOVED!
It was also super challenging, but I rose to the occasion every time, and found energy where I thought I only had fumes.
I know it may sound crazy, but it feels like I made a difference with these kids. My Nana would be proud. More soon!
good night! i feel like i haven't slept in a week, taking care of 5 kids 24/7. Totally worth it, and i'll be back. Hope you didn't mind the ramble ♥️ I'll be more eloquent after i sleep
