"I'm not the first person he's loved, and I won't be the last." I love this line! It's heartbreaking, but it's honestly great. Back at the beginning of the Season, this was one of Alec's biggest insecurities. He was completely freaked out by the fact that Magnus is immortal and that one day Alec will die and Magnus will likely move on. This episode, Alec was basically making sure that he wasn't the last person Magnus loved. All he wanted was for him to be okay, and he feels like his magic would do that. He doesn't care that he'd be hurting himself, that Shadowhunters usually only fall in love once and that he'd likely never get over it. All that mattered to him was that Magnus likely would, and he'd have his magic back. It's heartbreaking, but when you really look at it, it is so selfless and so big... <333 Still hate it though... It was so sad and the break up scene just hurts so much! :'(
