Behind The Spotlight Chapter 23

"Okay cut--!"

Wyatt announced and stood up.

"This scene is done. Let's prepare for the next scenario where the groom and bride will say their I do's. Finish the preparation within 10 minutes."

The production immediately moved fast and fixed the makeup that needed to be fixed.

Lawrence sighed and laughed lightly. Axel, who was a tall man, also laughed with him. The two had already performed this scene thrice and they still couldn't help but laugh. Thankfully, they perfected their acting around the third time.

Being the lead actors in this project, Lawrence and Axel formed a good relationship. They could say that they were friends now, not close friends, but still a friend you laugh with. Furthermore, Axel and Lawrence had the same agent so it eased their relationship quickly.

It had been a month since the filming of The Accidental Wedding Crashers and the production was upping its speed. In the first and second weeks, Wyatt and the cast were still finding their rhythm. And now, it seemed that they were in the zone. Wyatt was now used to the directorial position and could lead the project.

Being a small project, The Accidental Wedding Crashers didn't have a director who managed the crew. Collin decided to take over this role but he knew that he wasn't for it.

Checking every prop was managed since the props they needed were not complicated.

The tough jobs came from:

Overseeing the Budget. Kazir had to keep a tight leash on money or else overspend. Every night, Collin had to check the money they spent. Very tiring use of brain cells.

Managing the Schedule. Collin also had to make sure that the filming stayed on track. A few days of delays might be manageable but a month would be disastrous for their budget. The earlier they finish the better. For now, the filming of The Accidental Wedding Crashers was on a good schedule. As long as nothing unexpected happened, they could finish the filming in around two to three months. Another tiring job for Collin.

Supervising and Maintaining the Morale of the Team. This might look easy but talking to people was mentally tiring... Even though Collin's job was about talking to people and socializing, he admitted that his mental energy had limitations. He preferred a brief conversation rather than a longer one. Perhaps he still had to adjust to his job.

These were just some of the responsibilities that Collin had to do.

Wyatt was still a new director and he couldn't take care of all of this. Being an agent, Collin had to make sure that Wyatt had a smooth sailing experience with his debut movie. If Collin failed to do so, Wyatt might lose interest in filmmaking which was a waste of his golden talent. Collin would not let that happen. He had to build up his client's confidence.

Because of this, Collin had to do his best as a non-permanent producer... This position was tough and Collin had no intention of doing this again.

He knew his strength, he was good at looking for the right people for the right job. Heck, he could even discern their talent just by a mere glance. Being a producer might be great and earn a lot of money, but it didn't fit with Collin's power. At least Collin believed so.

He could do so much with this power.

'It might not be a surprise if I find the next Olympic Champion with this power.'

Collin thought to himself.

The production crew started moving and adjusting the cameras and lighting for the next scene. They hired 30 people with half of them being interns and new in the industry. However, despite being interns, they had enough experience to do the job.

Collin was the reason why this happened. He looked at the crew members, words were floating above their heads.

One of the guys was the Cinematographer that Collin personally hired for Wyatt to work with. This Cinematographer had no experience in filmmaking whatsoever, he only did some music videos, but because Collin saw his talent he entrusted the position to him.

And so far, the Cinematographer(intern) was doing his job well. His performance even eased Wyatt's job as a director. At least Wyatt didn't have to personally check the cameras himself.

Indeed, the people who Collin hired were right for their jobs. He further proved this fact.

Collin grinned because almost every person he hired had yellow talent. Which meant they were good at their jobs.

His superpower might be simple, but it was overpowered by a talent agent like him. After all, the job of a talent agent was to look for talented people they could make money of... Ahem.
