19 - Fight

When I stepped back trying to stabilize myself, I saw the look of surprise on the man's face that obviously didn't expect me to have that much strength either. "Hmm, did you get the serum too, boy? Or you are just a disgusting mutant?"

I didn't understand what he meant by "serum", but hearing him speak ill of mutants when my best friend was one made my blood boil. Angry, I ignored his question and lifted my arm a little back to carry a punch, as I had guessed, he had fight training, so seeing an opening so big that I had left, he didn't waste it and jumped to punch me. But that's when my smile opened and I gave him a little breath, just strong enough to destabilize him and my punch could break his defenses.

As my fist approached him, I noticed from his easy expression that he had stayed momentarily amazed, but in a fraction of a second the surprise was gone and he used his forearm to defend himself from my punch. 

When my hand connected to his forearm I could feel that his muscles were very hard, but that didn't stop him from taking two steps back this time, worse than in our first exchange.

While I was fighting, I could hear some noises happening fast. Those noises were something I was used to hearing, so a little smile appeared on my face before I stepped up to the man again.

This time I gave up a little of my defense so that I could attack as much as possible and hold the attention of the man in me. I used my breath to try to destabilize the man, but he adapted very quickly and only a few times later he no longer fell for the same trick.

We were both panting while some punch marks were obvious on us. 

"I could learn a lot from fighting you today, too bad the fight was never fair." I said as I shrug.

"What do you mean, kid? You think just because it's stronger you can win? Humph, you're too early to say something like that. Don't worry, you'll be the best guinea pig in our organization." The man said as he looked down at my body from top to bottom.

"Oh, really? That's interesting. Too bad it'll never happen." I said as I watched dozens of purple cards fly towards the man.

When he followed the direction of my gaze, seeing all those cards scared him and he jumped to the side to try to dodge the cards, but I already imagined that he would do that after understanding a little of his fighting pattern.

Before he jumped to deviate from the cards I had already used all my strength in my legs and jumped at a speed far above what I had used during the battle, since now it was just a straight jump. 

While I was in the middle of the air, the man jumped, but noticed that I was coming towards him. Unfortunately for him, it was too late now. I stretched out my leg that was retracted with all the strength I could muster and kicked the abdomen of the man who was unprotected because he was caught unprepared.

*Boom* The noise of him being thrown in the pile of old and destroyed cars was as if a ship was falling somewhere at high speed.

Gambit looked at me with a surprised face, which I could guess from the movement of his eyebrow since his eyes and mouth were covered.

I tried to concentrate my hearing in the middle of the wreckage to try to understand the man's condition, and from what I heard, he was still breathing, even if with difficulty.

I didn't think twice and ran along the trail he made between the cars and lifted him up by the collar of his shirt. He was now breathing with difficulty as blood flowed through several corners of his body.

"Who are you? Where would you take those kidnapped people?" I screamed in his face.

"Hahaha, you'll never know anything about our plans, little brat. Hail Hydra!" He screamed before he bit something and the foam started coming out of his mouth.

After that, I couldn't hear any breath coming out of his mouth, so I turned to Gambit with a confused look. He shook his head at me and we went back to where the other soldiers were disagreeing.

Having the experience of seeing the man kill himself after biting something, we opened the mouths of all the soldiers and removed a bag of poison inside a false tooth that was at the bottom of each one's mouth.

Every slap I gave someone in the face made the soldier wake up in pain. And when they saw the body of their boss fallen, some tried to bite the poison pouch but showed a frightened look right away because they knew they couldn't die.

Gambit began to apply the technique he learned at Thieves Guild to interrogate these men while I picked up the disagreed victims and took them into the warehouse.

When Gambit entered the warehouse to tell me what was happening, I could hear with my super hearing three pairs of sirens approaching from here. I looked at the people who must have been sleeping and noticed that there was a little girl awake and looking at us with dubious eyes. "Are you Superboy?" She asked me.

Gambit had already run since he knew I would deal with it and could get out quickly, so I went back to her and said. "Yes, my angel. Don't worry, we already took care of the bad guys, okay? The police are already coming to help you." I said it while caressing her head. She was really cute, with big blue eyes and long blonde hair.

Next to her, I saw a little boy who looked a lot like her, and I noticed that they might be brothers, which I hadn't noticed while carrying them because of the worry. "Take care of your brother, okay? Bye, bye." I waved at her and ran out of there at high speed before jumping over the junkyard fence and disappearing into the dark alleyways according to the noise Gambit was making, just seconds before the police entered the scene.

While ordinary police officers along with some experts were conducting an investigation into a junkyard that appeared to have been attacked by a hurricane, a black Ford Taurus entered the scene and attracted the attention of all the officers.

From inside the Ford Taurus, a black man with short hair came down from the driver's door while a white man came down from the passenger's door while fixing his suit tie.

The two walked towards the officer while the black man opened his ID card and said. "I'm Agent Fury from SHIELD, tell me what happened here."
