Sphinxes come in two main forms, either a bipedal or quadrupedal type depending on the desert they originally hailed from. On top of their superior physical abilities, most Sphinxes demonstrate great intelligence which fuels their curious intellect. Like the Anubis, these girls are often charged with protecting ruins and as such, may go into history or archaeological majors.

Since modernization, Sphinxes have also tended to develop an interest in more modern history. This has included the development of rationing and food sciences which seems to perplex them as it runs in stark contrast to a known powerful Curse of Famine that is a staple spell to learn. Spending too much time obsessing over something could be said to be a Sphinx’s own curse as if they are unable to answer correctly, they may find themselves unwittingly charmed by their own magic until they discover the truth.

This has resulted in an extreme spike in Sphinx girl obesity as they try to calculate and fixate around intangible answers, resulting in a rut of food based experimentation. In extreme cases, this may result in level 5 obesity and immobility, taxing the public university systems to constantly upgrade and expand their facilities to accommodate their ever growing forms. While you would think this would eventually culminate in limiting further Sphinx expansion, due to their questioning based abilities, even an immobile Sphinx can charm those around her, including unwitting professors or lecturers, into doing her bidding simply by asking how much they think she weighs. Only the most astute and precise in predicting weight by eyeballing her have been known to avoid this fate.

This is not meant to be an attempt to dominate other species on purpose, but rather serves as a function of their daily lives. Sphinxes are often indecisive and look towards the opinions of others or may simply order everything on a menu when presented with overwhelming options. In this way, scholars have considered this extreme obesity to be a reversal of the Curse of Famine resulting from a change in the times.

Although up for debate, it is often theorized that the original Curse of Famine likely arose from a single enormous Sphinx girl, likely a quadrupedal type, who was able to consume entire fields and harvests in a single sitting that she unwittingly subjugated those around her while attempting to fill her own belly.

Evidence of such can be found in Egyptian cat worship, likely poor attempts to try and illustrate the vastness of a single Sphinx without utilizing all of a wall mural, as well as the famous stone statue depicted in the middle of the desert as a testament to her sheer enormity. Much of this research has originated from Sphinx scholars with a propensity to glorifying their obesity however, and is not entirely free of bias as a result.

Significant efforts have been undertaken to try and limit the sheer potential size which these particular types of liminal can get to in spite of the advances made to farming and agriculture in modern society. Left entirely unchecked, it is entirely possible for a Sphinx to continue to eat purely out of boredom which may then evolve into a kind of brain teaser. An example of this would be to see how much she could eat in a day and if this record can be beaten which then evolves into how many kilocalories she can consume on average on a yearly basis to sustain her rate of growth rather than simply maintain it. Infatuation with numbers and solutions towards perceived ‘practical’ problems can quickly spiral out of control along with her waistline resulting in the case photographs provided in this file.

To help minimize adverse effects of their over intellectualization, a symbiotic relationship has formed with Anubis girls who they are often roomed with. The dominating Anubis is often better at scheduling their joint dietary intake and daily activities which she enforces through sheer force of personality. If the Sphinx is the dominant of the pair however, the reverse is also possible which has been the primary reason for the total number of walls broken down in university dorms over the last few years.
