And then we have The Pink One, do not try to understand the mind of such an eldritch being, that way lies only madness. I mean, what was the very first instrument she said she needed for the Parasprites? A trombone, and what wasn't used at all in her one pony marching band? A trombone, she only needed it because she knew she was going to have a set up for that iris out gag! Oh and as to why Celestia hasn't been around much? Blame the eternal foe of season 1, budget. Rendering her flowing mane and tale is apparently very resource intensive, so they couldn't have her show up as often as they wanted.
