Patreon may be charging 'sales tax' from 1st July

Apparently Patreon is making some changes to comply with government laws around the world regarding Sales Tax.
As far as I can tell some countries may start charging around 5-15% more for Patreon donations on certain pledges from 1st July next year. It's to comply with 'Sales Tax' laws, and whether they charge for it will depend country to country - many countries and states won't charge this at all.
To my understanding Patreon will contact people on 1st July to inform them if it is being charged in your area. There are a few more details here if interested: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043055071
I guess we'll find out more further down the line. As always a massive thank you for your support here. It really is you who allows me to spend quite so much time creating 40K content as a legitimate job :)

While I don't mind the tax in and of itself, 15% seems excessive. I hope that most supporters dont experience that kind of government thievery.

Due to the state of the world governments probably need a bit of extra help keeping things running. If my paltry monthly donation can help out where I live and at the same time support this channel I’m fine with it. Keep up the great content... and more army showcase videos please!
