Let's talk marine armour and which Heavy Support tanks are stronger right now...
Did I miss the land raider Achilles? I was surprised it made the rules since they don't make them anymore but it did and I of course happen to own one

I have a guard army with 13 tanks and a SM army without any. And I often soup them up even though that is not ideal with the loss of combat doctrines.

Yeah, figured I had a fair few tanks of my own so I'd try and break up the Ultramarines stock photos a little!

Great video.
My vindicator was the first tank I bought and painted, and so will always have a special place in my heart. Happily, it has also had incremental buffs over the last two codices. I've always thought it deserved some sort of close combat rule for the siege shield, though.
Also, Auspex, is that your Vindicator in the video? If so, great to see your models making an appearance again.

No mention of the FW Land Raider variants and they may be the only ones worth considering. Also curious if Legacy of Dorn or any other Chapter rules could break the curve on some of these choices.

Just to add to the Whirlwind's "Suppression Fire" strat, it also inflicts the target with "fight last" and prevents it from using "set to defend"

Good video. One piece of feedback:
Suppression Fire makes Whirlwinds super useful, especially for melee heavy chapters like Blood Angels. It's just a great, cheap way to cause fight last on an opponent. It's that fight first/last control, not just overwatch denial that makes WW's strategem so useful. This seems like an important oversight by AT, unfortunately.

If I wanted tanks I'd play Imperial Guard! (Secretly really wants tanks)

I guess there is something to be said for tank spam defensively. Your opponent might not be able to kill them all, especially if you take out their Eradicators etc quickly. A Repulsor or Executioner can carry your own Eradicators, or you can just hide all of your requisite troop choices in the cheaper transports so they have no infantry to shoot at turn 1.

Its a little gamey but I love the Land Raider Crusader for my Grey Knights! Gate Ov Infinity filled with Terms or Paladins can make a huge threat anywhere on the board (granted youre okay with half your army right in the danger zone), along side dread knights on flanks its usually too many threats at once to deal with
