I think the main thing is giving a power sword a lot of the time would be more value if you have a spare 5 points unless you're running stalker rifles who won't be in melee.

2021-07-27 13:58:42 +0000 UTCI do use the smokescreen/transhuman to keep them alive. I play Salamanders, so I have some extra tools I can use with them. But I often struggle to gauge how much CP I should invest into the unit. If they are the only unit in the center, then I want them there for Oaths. But terrain is a little unreliable. Not every table has good terrain in the center.

2021-07-25 15:39:03 +0000 UTCI run Suppressors because they're one of the coolest looking models and tbh they work well with the -2 AP turn one and the 1CP White Scars strat: Hunter's Fusillade on turn 2 (allowing them to Advance and treat their Heavy Weapons like Assault weapons). With a 18" move/advance, and that -2 AP on turn two as well (Tactical Doctrine), they have surprised a few people.

2021-07-25 15:21:29 +0000 UTCI think it’s very dependent on your Chapter. I play an IF successor and what works for me probably won’t work as well for a White Scars or Salamanders army. I haven’t had much success with 5 man Intercessor squads outside of Stalkers camping the backfield. A 10 man Intercessor squad with ABR, two grenade launchers, and a PF on the Sgt have been solid for me though. Infiltrators are good for Deep Strike denial and holding the midfield early (especially with a Helix Gauntlet while Incursors are great for nuisance charges and screening the rest of the army (Invictors come to mind). Tacticals are still the versatility pick and I utilize Drop Pods, Rhinos, and Razorbacks for getting them around the board if I’m not using a 5-man with a Heavy weapon to camp a home objective.

I often deploy my incursors in the midfield, but they just take lots of fire early. For 105 points, I guess that is fine if it takes the heat off the rest of my army?

2021-07-25 13:21:48 +0000 UTCI am excited to see the video as I am building a new chapter and can't decide incursors vs infiltrators and if assault intercessors and/or heavy intercessors are worth it. I'm only certain I'll be buying loads of reivers so I can put their heads on my troops and maybe use the rest of the marine parts for conversions and dead marine bodies in bases/terrain.
