So long as there is decent compensation (points?) for those factions where this is a key part of the army. There are a lot of variations though and I might be a Grey Knight player that isn't a fan of the move.

2022-12-30 01:00:14 +0000 UTCThis is also a big nerf to the C'tan shard of the Deceiver, since arguably his main benefit was the ability to redeploy several expensive things into SR for free, which could be useful in combination with the PDB strat. I hope he gets a significant points drop or a change to this ability, since he was already well behind the other shards in viability and this only hurts him further.

2022-12-29 20:10:53 +0000 UTCI mean kinda a nerf for certain factions like Chaos. I was still thinking about running a LoV Trans-hyperion army before this rule was announced. Even though they're the worst of their factions. I was thinking about running their redeploy into reserves for big units for 1cp specifically up to 3 10man squads of the Cthonian Beserks. Now it's just a 1cp redeploy taking up one of your warlord traits and if you use it to put your guys into reserve then you're essentially paying 1cp for something that's free for everyone else. You could do some cheeky stuff with it to maybe open some room in your enemies back line but I think it's still a nerf. I'll probably just run an established league focusing on beam weapons for area denial instead since none of the other factions speak to me.

2022-12-29 19:21:06 +0000 UTCIn Chaos army I could see using it more then my Guard. In my Guard, the things I would want to deepstrike already have it. The Fleet Officer suddenly has more utility, especially if the flier rule is accurate.
