From my understanding the only versions that are not dimed are the Blu Ray releases, and weather or not those ever get uploaded to sites with the subtitles is very hit or miss depending on fans

I hate the dimming too but its cause of Japanese broadcast laws, basically in the 90's there was an episode of Pokemon that had bright flashing lights and it gave seizures to more than 600 children across Japan so now there is a law where if there is too many flashing lights in a scene it is automatically dimmed so as not to pose a potential risk. So yeah if you see dimming in anime you can blame Pokemon lol
