Well both 23 and 24 put it in the plural sense so possibly they found two suits of armor? Idk since they found the recipe to make Valyrian steel entirely, it kinda lowkey doesn't matter lel. I'm glad you like seeing Aegor's perspective! The best parts of Aemond and Maegor is definitely what I had in mind for him, perhaps in time to his enemies he will start channeling the worst aspects as well lel.

2025-07-14 10:16:17 +0000 UTCThey can definitely heal themselves. Regenerating body parts and increasing fertility is possible but more difficult, as is body modification and making kids stronger. This can have potential side effects however, as seen with Maegor. It probably isn't possible to assign children's sex but determining it in the womb could become possible. A lot of the potential applications are beyond the Targaryens atm due to how advanced and dangerous they are and also Gogossos would have more blood magic and biomancy.

2025-07-14 08:37:43 +0000 UTCDefinitely going to get some reactions next chapter! Well the control over dragonfire is mostly designed for use in craftsmanship. In the heat of battle the amount of focus required would be exceedingly difficult and it probably wouldn't be as efficient and powerful as just diving in and letting the dragons unleash massive plumes of flame rather than trying to shape it. Especially because arrows etc are not actually that much of a threat to them. Dragons can also spew fireballs in the books too.

There will be more interactions with other characters/battles in the coming chapters so stay tuned! Welp, an error indeed. Too used to writing Aerion and Valaena lol. Writing Aerion and Rhaena feels weird lol.

Like say heal themselves, regenerate body parts ( eye’s for example), making them more fertile, assign their children’s sex while in the womb… Biokinesis and body modification type stuff. Maybe drink dragon’s blood to empower the baby or make the blood purer through the use of rituals so that the next generation of Targs are more magically and physically strong.

With their control of dragon fire now, could they shape it into long distance fireballs or similar? Then they could never be in range of arrows/trebuchet/catapults. I think that would be a game changer.

2025-07-13 21:53:16 +0000 UTCFirst of all, this was a great chapter! I really liked reading Aegors perspective and I cannot wait to see him & Rheana in future chapters. What a power couple they will become. I do hope the next chapters have a bit more action in regards to battles and/or us reading more interactions between the Targs and other characters. These past few chapters have been heavy on only the Targaryens. Another small note, I noticed there is a small error the following part: “Deciding to conserve his blood for now, Aegor suddenly thrust his arm forward in a furious punch, reaching his will into the obsidian and waking the frozen fire within before pushing it towards Aerion and Valaena in a single fluid motion. Rhaena dodged, while Aerion deflected the flames around him with his will. Valaena followed up with her own assault” — You wrote that Aegor threw a fire punch towards Aerion and Valaena… but I guess it should actually be Aerion and Rhaena?
