Here's this week's image then: Yeungmaidels having a hard time in a ruined city.

Halftrack Ambush

I love this scene. The action and drama grip the emotions, especially that maiden with her back to the halftrack, she's so adorable as the sympathetic character.

Meanwhile, a Russian platoon marches towards the Germans defense position, determined to finish off the remaining survivors so it may continue its march toward Berlin while flushing out all Germans defenses. Katrina and Anya, two young infantrywomen aged not much difference from Inga and Peta, approach the barricade with their rifles ready to fire at the Russians. Around them lies about half a dozen corpses of their colleagues who were killed in the Russians' initial assault. All were young women aged from 18 to 20 summers who were cut down in their prime. But blinded by the Fuhrer's totalitarian ideology, Katrina and Anya are determined to kill as many of their Russian opponents as possible, even though they know they all would likely be killed as well. And throughout Berlin, tens of thousands German infantrymen and women are also doing the same time at dozens of defense pockets, in their desperate yet ultimately futile final defense of their capital city.

"Soldatin Inga! Pass the machine gun to me please! And hold on to the bullets until we found a perfect place to put it down then we can start spraying these filthy Russians!" Gunnery Sergeant Hedwig ordered junior soldier Inga who can only comply with all her orders. We have to defend Berlin from these Russkies! Fuhrer ordered us to fight the Russians until the very end and that's what we are going to do! In the event you are wounded but unable to resist anymore, you must swallow the cyanide capsule placed inside our cross medals to avoid capture. Understood? A young private aged 20 summers, Inga could only nod and comply with her superior officer. Meanwhile. Inga's colleague Peta - a young girl of just 18 years of age when she was conscripted into the German Women's Infantry Division hold her rifle with no signs of determination against the Russian invaders, just a lot of fear. Peta could still hear the small whimpering voice of Annika, a soldier on her tank who was badly wounded in the Russian ambush of ther convoy. "Mummy! Help me! I don't want to die! Please! I don't want to die!" Annika keeps whispering in vain while holding the large bloodied wound on her stomach. "WIthout help she would die very soon!" Peta tells herself. But she is unable to help Annika and other dying fellow soldiers since she is gripped with so much fear of death that leaves her completely paralyzed.
