I love a good girdle. Not because I want the shaping qualities or the hold, but rather that I like the feeling of them when they are quality made. The one in this set in particular is far more fashion than function, but that doesn't mean I don't simply adore it! For me, the attraction is in the fact that I grew up disliking confined spaces and anything that restricted movement - I was a spritely child, wild and adventurous who did not want to be contained. As I grew, I kept that same mind, but enjoyed a good mental and emotional challenge. I've spent my life enjoying these 'fears' and discomforts by specifically seeking out the things that made me uncomfortable and spending time with them. Spiders, the dark, abandoned factories, etc. Can I say that I am over these fears completely? Ah, possibly not, but I find the catharsis in overcoming them - revelling in them? - strangely appealing. I've been challenged by outside forces in every arena I've ever entered, so I take these opportunities for growth seriously.
Still not sure exactly what it is about articles of clothing like latex, girdles and other restricting and 'difficult' pieces, but I get a kind of high from wearing them, even unnoticed under 'normal' clothing... so next time you see me wearing nylons on my legs out buying groceries, know that it's very possible that I'm wearing frilly lingerie or some restricting bits beneath my skirt.

Austin Dean and I have shot at the Arundel Mansion before for a quick nighttime set, but I'm over the moon with these images in particular! We shot some experimental images and some aesthetic to change things up. It is our hope that you love these photos as much as we do!
