Birthday!!

Ahh, as I lap up the last of the birthday love, celebrate the shenanigans, and finish thanking all of the individuals who sent well wishes, gifts and great energy my way yesterday, I wanted to write a little something here.

I find birthdays are a great time for reflection and goal-making. I wrote out a list of goals for my last year as a 20-something and think you might enjoy reading them!

- model on the following continents before the end of the year:
    - Africa
    - South America
    - Australia
    - Antarctica (the most difficult/expensive by far to get to)
              > this is my main focus and has been a goal of mine for the past four years. I'm doing all that I can to save up to model in these places  before I blow out 30 candles in 365 days! If you have connections to help out, please let me know! :)

- be more tidy!

- get better at marketing myself!

- take on bigger challenges!

- donate more to charity (make more money to be able to do this!)

- try to step outside of my comfort zone a little bit.

- actually go to the gym. Walk more. Be more toned. Do Tough Mudder!

- move back to Toronto and live minimally until all the travel above is complete.

- travel two weeks of each month and get EXCELLENT photos while away!

- donate eggs to help one more couple get pregnant.
              > I've done this 5 times and can do it once more before I 'retire'. So many mini-Danes running around!

- get diagnosed for my mental health stuff for my own knowledge and use it as fire to drive me forward, not hold me back.

- put myself first, but always support everyone around me. Encourage others to do the same.

I feel like these goals are more concise than goals I've made in the past and are achievable. I've let my mental health slow me down, and that drives me up the wall - wasted time and energy. I don't want to be held back anymore, and I think it's time that I actively put my best foot forward.

What goals would YOU add to this list of mine?

Oh my, I'm 29! Had no idea. I wonder if who you donate through is international? If so I would love the info. And that's amazing! You've potentially helped 5 couples create the family that they want more than anything!

I’ve donated 5 times so far, and this is the last year they will accept my eggs as I’m 29 and already considered too old for most intended parents. :( It’s a really great feeling, for sure.

those are all AWESOME goals. have you donated your eggs before? I was thinking of doing so. technically I'm pretty awesome, and it really would make a big difference to a couple somewhere..
