Videl has gone for a similar outfit to canon, but less bulky and loose, so it makes her athletic martial arts style shine through more (especially since she needs to be mobile, as she can't fly yet). And Erasa, of course, style over protection, but with the upgrades Bulma gave her suit for defense she will have zero issues.

So this implies that what Videl and Erasa did was out of love, especially since Videl is sheltered and not as open as others, while Erasa genuinely loves Gohan and Videl. Gohan as well has nothing but pure and good intention, and he believes what he did was genuinely ordinary and nothing to be ashamed or guilty of.

I know Akira created pseudo versions of him via Bulma and Krillin in Dragonball, but Goku always felt more of a direct reference to a Journey to the West character in the form of Sun Wukong. So I went ahead and created an official version of Tang in the story, one that actually carries his name and wisdom.
