__________
Julia did as she was told, and lay down on the bed, turning over to face her master. Georgina grinned, and pulled out her phone—but then stopped.
“No, I think this will be much more appropriate with your costume on,” the tyrannosaur teased, going over to Julia’s bag. “The mighty Sprout, forced into a naked photo session by a supervillain. . . Don’t you agree?”
The hero nodded, her heart pounding with anticipation, and Georgina tossed her the costume. She quickly changed, placing the skintight suit back over her (the one that responded to her shrinking and growing powers exceptionally well, the one that was able to withstand bullets, fire, and other occurrences on the job), and slipped the facemask back over her head. Then she lay back on the bed, and looked up at her dinosaur master with innocent eyes.
“That’s it, that’s it,” Georgina said, her phone letting off little /clicks/ as she shot photos. “Good girl. Capturing my slut for myself—now that’s precious treasure for a bad girl like me.”
As she took photos, part of Julia was afraid of it being leaked to the public, of others finding out about her in this position. But honestly, that was part of the thrill. And besides that, she trusted Georgina with her life. She could trust the dinosaur with some photos.
“Hands behind your back,” Georgina ordered. “I want to capture you bound. . .”
Julia obeyed, and a moment later, she felt metal against her wrists, and heard a /clik/ as the tyrannosaur handcuffed her (with the play instrument in her drawer, of course, not the real ones she kept in her bag). “Good,” her master purred. “Now let’s photograph this moment, shall we?”
More /clik/s filled the air as she was captured by Georgina’s phone, and Julia looked directly into the camera lens, defiant toward her captor. “Ooo, feisty,” teased the dinosaur, lowering the lens. “You won’t be for long. Shall we have some fu—”
Georgina froze, and her head whipped around. Julia followed her gaze, and what she saw made her freeze.
Somebody was looking in through the window.
Before Julia could blink, Georgina moved. The dinosaur grabbed their peeping tom by their neck and threw them inside the room, slamming them on the floor. “Start talking,” the tyrannosaur growled, barring her teeth. “/Now/.”
“P-Please don’t hurt me!”
/Wait a minute. . ./ Julia stood up from the bed, her eyes widening in surprise. /That voice . . . is that. . .?/
Sure enough, the one pinned down by Georgina was Hopeshot, the portalling supervillain (pronouns: they/she)! They squirmed in the dinosaur’s grip, trying to get free; Georgina responded by sitting on her. “I-I was just investigating some traces of dimensional activity in this area! I didn’t mean to stumble upon . . . whatever this is!”
Their eyes darted around the room, and that’s when Hopeshot saw Julia. “/Sprout/?!” they exclaimed, their voice a screech. “W-What are you doing here? Why are you handcuffed? Oh fuck—is this a new supervillain in town? Have they captured you?” They writhed even more underneath Georgina’s. “Let her go, you monster! Let Sprout go!”
Julia blushed—for heaven’s sake, her villainous rival was more concerned for her safety than anything else! “Georgina, get off of her,” she ordered her girlfriend. “And . . . take off the handcuffs, too.”
The tyrannosaur gave her girlfriend a wary glance, but nodded, standing up from the ground. Hopeshot quickly scrambled up, ready to fight—but stopped once she saw the dinosaur taking off Sprout’s handcuffs. “Wait a minute. . .” Their eyes widened, and she looked at the hero in surprise. “Are you—?!”
“Look,” Julia interrupted, surprised by the firmness of her voice. “Let me make something very clear to you, Hopeshot.” She walked forward, until she was inches away from the villain, who was trembling. Upon seeing that, the hero softened, and gently put a hand on Hopeshot’s shoulder.
“I don’t think you’re as evil as everyone says you are,” the superhero admitted, making their eyes widen in surprise. “I actually think that maybe I can trust you.” She glared at Hopeshot. “If you make me regret this, I /will/ make you pay. Understand?”
The villain nodded. “So . . . you’re the one causing the dimensional tears?” she asked. She glanced at Georgina. “You and that . . . thing?”
“She’s not a thing,” Julia snapped. She sighed. “She’s . . . my girlfriend. And she’s not from around here. Do you understand now?”
Shock registered on Hopeshot’s face, but it was soon replaced by understanding. They nodded. “I think so,” they said quietly. “I . . . I’m sorry for interrupting.” They winced. “Are you going to arrest me now?”
This would be the perfect opportunity to bring her in . . . but Julia shook her head. “Not today, Hopeshot,” she said. “Get out of here. And please, don’t come back.”
“Roger!” squeaked the supervillain. She glanced at Georgina, and gave the dinosaur a shy wave. Then she jumped out of the window, and disappeared.
Immediately a wave of exhaustion crashed over Julia, and she fell to the ground, landing hard on her knees. “Oh no!” Georgina exclaimed, running over and crouching next to her, wrapping her clawed hands around her girlfriend. “Babe, are you ok?”
“There’s something else you should know,” Julia said quietly. She swallowed. “About my encounters with Hopeshot.”
“Go on.” The dinosaur gave the hero a gentle squeeze.
Julia swallowed. “Every time I see them, I think . . . I think I fall for them, just a little bit more.” She turned to Georgina. “I hope you’re not mad at me for that.”
“/Mad/ at you?! No way.” She gave Julia a gentle kiss on the cheek. “We agreed to keep this relationship open from the beginning. I think that’s wonderful.” She smirked. “And Hopeshot seems like quite a character—I’d love to have her join us sometime.”
Julia smiled. “Thanks, Georgina.
“. . . Can we close the window and continue with our night?”
