“Finally.  I’ve reached the dragon’s treasure!”
Maya walked into the den, a huge grin on her face as she assessed the loot in front of her.  She had traveled far and wide to reach this place, done countless tasks of craftiness and cunning, but now, finally, she had made it.  And she was going to be /rich/.
The silver fox, who stood at 5 foot 9 inches, had dark fur and orange eyes, along with a tail with white fur at the ends.  She wore a purple shirt that crossed over her chest, with a dark blue shirt underneath that.  On her legs, she wore jeans that went down to her ankles, and on her feet were bare, leaving her foot paws out.
There was also more to her beyond her appearance.  She was from magic, after all, and was capable of producing purple flames in her palms.  But everything about the fox was going to change very soon. . .
She smiled and whistled as she walked around the big pile of treasure, wondering what she could possibly take first. . . Ah ha!  She spotted a silver cup sparkling under the torchlight, and smiled, knowing she had found her first pick of the day.
She reached down and picked up the cup, placing it into her satchel.
Little did she know that the lot of treasure was filled with loss prevention magic, a powerful charm that had just placed her into utter danger . . . or rather, /udder/ danger.
As she walked about the cave, her tail began to change.  It started to thin out, bit by bit, slowly losing the thick, voluminous fur around it.  It shrunk /inward/, and flattened out onto the base of the tail, just as it began to increase in length, getting longer by the minute.  The white fur at the tip began to spread around, making white spots as the fur around it darkened.  Until, finally, Maya’s new tail was a long, thin, black and white thing, with fur sprouting at the end of it, sticking out like a broom handle.  It swung unconsciously back and forth, trying to swat flies that weren’t there.  This tail was just the beginning of Maya’s transformation tale. . .
But the fox didn’t notice—the changes went unexamined by her, and she assumed her tail was moving out of happiness.  And so she continued exploring the cave, pondering each piece of treasure and considering what to take next. . .
Finally, she found a piece of loot that caught her attention: a large crown, littered with jewels and pretty gems, which made her eyes widen in absolute delight.  Maya reached over and snatched it up, bringing the crown up to her face and staring at its beautiful form.  Sighing in delight, she placed it into her bag, and then moved on.
But, unbeknownst to Maya, bringing the crown to her face caused her to breathe in more of the loss prevention magic.  It quickly traveled through the silver fox, shooting through her body in record time, until it finally reached the location it was after: her legs.  Now that she had double the loss prevention magic in her, the transformation was going to speed up a bit. . .
It started at Maya’s left foot.  First, her claws morphed and enlarged, thickening and increasing in mass on her foot, growing exponentially with each passing second.  They swelled and became unwieldy on her feet, but the fox barely noticed.  Sure, she found herself stumbling every once in a while, but she attributed that to the cave floor—not knowing her feet were changing.
Her toes shrunk down, and thickened, the digits then lacing up as her unwieldy claws merged in unison to form a cows hoof. The same began to happen to her right foot as well. Her claws morphed and enlarged, thickening and increasing in mass, the toes shrinking, thickening, then lacing up together as her unwieldy claws merged in unison to form a second cow hoof. Once changed, her new cow feet swelled into proper size, the foxy fur on them shrinking into soft cow fur, only millimeters tall in length. As the fur shrunk down, it changed in color, shifting from pure silver to the black and white spotted fur of a common cow.
Both legs were now changed—but Maya barely noticed.  Sure, she observed that her legs felt a little funny, and her feet felt heavier, but she deduced that this was a simple charm on the treasure trying to weigh her down—nothing more, nothing less.  And it wasn’t even going to work, because she could still walk just fine!  Even if her legs (and especially her feet) felt a little bit . . . /weird/.
She reached down and picked up her next piece of treasure: a beautiful necklace, studded with diamonds and blue stones.  The silver fox gasped at the sight, and scrambled to pick it up, kneeling in the pile of treasure to get to it.  As she did so, she got more of the protection magic on her body, both from touching it and breathing it in, and when she picked up the necklace, the loss prevention charm spread even further.  Unaware of this, Maya picked up her loot and put it into her satchel, grinning to herself.
The transformation continued. It spread up her stomach, flattening down the fur there and changing its color, and continued up her chest, doing the same thing there until the whole area was complete.  Then it traveled across her hips and reached her back.  Starting at the bottom, the new fur traveled upwards, replacing the old with relative swiftness, until it finally reached her neck.  Then it wrapped around her shoulders.  It was time for the final form. . .
Maya felt her head neck start to tingle.  She looked down, twitching thanks to the strange feeling, and felt her fur flattening.  “What on earth. . .?” she muttered.  She reached up and touched her neck, and witnessed in real time as her thick fur shrunk down and thinned out.  What she couldn’t see was the white splotches that were appearing on her fur, until it was completely black and white.
“W-What the heck is going on?!” she exclaimed, touching her body frantically.  That’s when she looked down, and saw what had happened to her feet.  “Shit, shit, shit,” she muttered, frantically looking around, as if a solution could be found somewhere in sight.
But it was time for her head to be humbled next.  That was going to be the big one.
Maya felt her ears start to stretch.  Startled, she reached up and ran her hands across them.  “Oh!” she cried, trying to resist the change.  Unlistening and uncaring, the transformation continued, and her ears went from pointy fox ears, to wide bovine ears, floppy and stretched from her head.
The transformation moved downward.  The fur below her ears flattened and changed color, and soon it spread to the rest of her face, turning her entire head black and white.  Then the head itself morphed.
First, her snout stretched outward, moving and growing to its bovine size.  In her mouth, Maya’s sharp teeth flattened into the herbivorous type, and she let out a cry as they changed.  Her nose flattened onto her head, and the nostrils increased in size; then, her mouth stretched with the rest of her face, and new lips appeared.  Finally, her orange eyes moved from the front of her head to the side, and they turned more bulbous to match her new face.
Maya tried to say something, but the only thing that left her mouth was a, “Mooooo!”  She was starting to catch on now, but before she could process anymore of what was happening, the udder began to form.
It started at her chest.  There was a prickling feeling above her belly button, like something wanted to escape.  Then, something /did/ escape: a small sphere, growing in size with every passing second, was sprouting from her midsection, ripping through her shirt.  Its influence slowly increased, until it was between her legs, too.
The sphere grew and grew, and as it did, Maya felt her front half getting forced to the ground.  Her hands—still that of a fox’s—crashed into the cave floor, holding her up unsteadily as the udder continued to increase in size.  Her body mass also increased, making her midsection bigger and bigger, the udder growing teats as it did so; her clothes got completely ripped apart, and they fell off of her body.
And then, her hands changed, rendering her unsteady as they morphed.
First, the fur on her left arm thinned out, bit by bit, until it was almost completely gone.  As her fur shrunk down, white spots appeared on it, and the silver darkened into black.  Once her arm was changed, her hand was next.

Her fingers twitched, and before she knew it, her claws were transforming.  They thickened on her hand, increasing in mass and becoming unwieldy.  Maya watched them change in total surprise, unsure how they could stay on her hand like this!
Before her eyes, her new, thick fingers shrunk down and split apart, forming a wide split in her hand.  Then, on each side, the appendages merged together, melting into each other and closing any gaps between them.  “Moo, moo, moo!” Maya cried, shaking her hands, as if that would stop the transformation. But it was too late, the hoof transformation was already complete. The changing fox continued to moo in panic upon realizing how serious her predicament was. As she panicked, her other hand started its transformation, and quickly changed: the fingers swelled, then they shrunk and split, and a hoof quickly formed.
The fox mooed in panic upon seeing the hoof, jumping back in shock and nearly landing in the treasure pile.  As she panicked, her other hand started its transformation, and quickly changed: the fingers swelled, then they shrunk and split, and finally, the transformation was finished, and a hoof emerged.
The transformation was finally reaching completion. The growing of her body stopped, as it reached full bovine mass, and the silver fox was no more. She was a cow now, a non-anthro bovine standing awkwardly on the floor of the cave, with a large snout, swinging tail, and huge udder.
Maya looked around the cave.  Her satchel had dropped onto the ground, but that didn’t matter now.  She had to get out of here before it was too late.
She took one step forward, and collapsed.  This was going to take a while. . .
__________
The dragon was on her way home to her cave when she smelled the cow.  So, some poor soul had tried to steal from her while she was gone.  A smile crossed her face, and she licked her lips.  “Looks like fresh meat has made its way into my cave . . . how lovely.”
She was a gray dragon, sporting large horns and a few prominent back spikes.  When she breathed, warm, nice-smelling smoke would sometimes leave her mouth, and when she let out fire, it was blue and purple, licking up the land.  Parts of her scales glowed rainbow, glittering underneath the light with hypnotizing beauty.
She had gathered a good amount of treasure over the years, and kept it safe in her cave.  Thanks to the charm, thieves would become her dinner.
The dragon walked up to her cave, and smirked.  Her nose had been correct: a cow was stumbling unsteadily out of her domain, clearly having trouble on its feet as it walked.  “Oh dear,” she cooed, walking up to the animal, her large form towering over it.  “Looks like somebody ran into some trouble in my cave.  What a shame. . .”
She reached out a hand, and started herding the cow back inside, grinning.  “Now, it’s time for dinner,” the dragon said to the animal, licking her lips.  “Come along, food.”
