June HexCorp News Bulletin

Hello, cutie drones and anomalies I am choosing to ignore to make our conversion rates look better. Hex here.

Well, summer is here - a season that drones famously thrive in. After all, nothing keeps you cool like being fully sealed in a black rubber material that restricts your breathing. Please think of the drones in the warm months ahead. If you're hot, they're hot. Proper drone cooling is essential to maximise their processing power.

This also means we'll be getting out the fans for the photosets ahead.

Going to start each of these with a summary of everything that we acheived last month, followed by any plans for this coming month and any potential changes.

May Productivity:

 ⬢ The HexCorp site had a number of small updates over a lot of its pages. These were mostly fixes but in a few places we altered the substance of the text to reflect any changes in direction (for instance, the Twitter ambassador project got an overhaul to reflect a more flexible approach for our drones to adhere to in future). We also took a handful of new conversion chamber subjects, which hopefully will lead us to accepting more subjects at a healthier pace in future.
⬢ As a fun, little side project, 0024 and I set up a Twitter account to act as a repository for any drone-related media we stumble across and takes our fancy: https://twitter.com/Dronification I don't expect this to go anywhere, but it's an easy way to remember some wonderful things that have been created in the last few years.
⬢ We managed to process the entirety of our Discord applications backlog. For May, this involved reviewing 500 total applications.
⬢ In terms of the usual work, we got 4 photosets done last month, most of which include video. Hoping to keep up this pace now that I'll be living with the drones who've been helping me create these!

June Plans:

⬢ My first priority is simple - catching up with the postcards. All the moving stuff has really put a blocker on getting these done, but now that it's almost over I'm going to be able get out multiple batches this month instead. Because of Permutative Industries, I can't just send them all out in one go, so instead I'll do the following.
1st of June - Get the April postcards done.
17th of June - Get the May postcards done.
1st of July - Get the June postcards done.
From then on, I can then do the postcards the 1st of every following month to make sure I'm getting them out at a reasonable time as well we batch the entire previous month together for efficiency reasons.
Once again, sorry for the delay on this and I hope to have this resolved soon!
⬢ Patreon rebranding. Updating the images, tier descriptions and tier follow up messages.
⬢ Potentially getting a file created. 0102 has been working really hard on writing up parts of an induction to add to a DroneOS framework I was building previously. We now only need a few more components before we have a HexCorp DroneOS file of our own!
⬢ Then it's just the usual. More photosets, more Cerebral Exchange chapters! I also have a really intense 8 minutes HexCorp mantra video I need to finish editing this month, so stay tuned for that!

Potential Update?

For those in tier 3 and above, you may have noticed that I've begun posting considerably more video but haven't really found a home for it yet.

Well, I'm thinking of making the following two changes to tiers 3 and 4 to really simplify how this all works, so people know when they subscribe to a tier exactly what they're getting.

⬢ All video will now be posted to tier 3, alongside the minisets. As we produce more videos, the focus of this tier will gradually switch to the videos as the central feature (though I will make sure to keep adding a handful of pictures to complete it as a miniset).
⬢ Removing the one month restiction I placed on myself before I could post content to twitter to advertise HexCorp.

When I first set up this Patreon, I was only managing about 20 pictures for each photoset, and felt I had to add the one month restriction so that I was giving everything I could. Now that they're regularly hitting 100 images per photoset, including better editing, video and other drones, I think it should be okay to post a couple to Twitter at the same time.

I was also umming and erring on whether I should make videos tier 3 or tier 4, but as it's something I'm still new to and improving on I think tier 3 is best.

For this month, I'll trial posting all video to tier 3 but keep the one month restriction. Then, if I feel this is working out well, I'll announce I'm going ahead with the above changes and start them officially in July!

Sorry that this latter part got so wordy, I just wanted to make sure I had explained it thoroughly so that everyone knows exactly what they're getting!
