Hello, dear drones. Hex here.

I already posted this to Twitter, but wanted to post here as well as things get so easily lost on there. Also, as this is just an experiment that I don't normally post, I'm making this available for all paid members.

This was entirely just video editing practise. I've always adored the aesthetic and feeling of Starcraft 1 and wanted to make a short video in its style. As mentioned in the monthly bulletin, I'm going to be focusing on a making fewer but higher quality videos going forward, so it's really important I keep doing little things like this. It both reinforces the exact language I want to you when drones are communicating internally, within the Hive, as well as just learning how to manage multiple elements at once and combine them into a consistent UI.

Just this short video alone involved 19 seperate images for the UI being made, as well as the two video clips being edited for it. It's all a useful lesson in how to do this faster in future.
