Early Look: Nova 🦋🌟✨

Here’s an early look at my newest drawing! 🦋 I’m calling it Nova because I was inspired by colors in space created by supernovas ☺️🌈
I painted this piece to prepare and take mental notes for this month’s upcoming tutorial video on how to shade with grayscale and add color! I shaded this entire drawing in grayscale first, then added my colors ✨ Before making tutorials for you guys I always try to practice a bit beforehand so that the subject is fresh in my memory and I know what to discuss! Tomorrow I’m hoping to start writing my notes for the tutorial so that I can film by Friday, fingers crossed ☺️🤞🏼
I hope you all are enjoying your week so far 💛 My husband and I decided to get Minecraft for the Nintendo switch and so we’ve been playing together in the evenings after work 🙈 we’re currently building a little house! 🏠 hehe have a great night everyone! ☺️

2021-02-19 21:41:22 +0000 UTCYes! 💛 When that happens, I usually click “Copy Canvas”, then create a new layer, then click “Paste”, and then everything is merged onto one layer without any issues ☺️ that’s at least what I do! I hope that helps! ✨

After creating multiple layers I like to merge or flatten them to work on just one layer. I was wondering how you keep the colors consistent when you merge and flatten different layer modes. If I merge a multiply, opacity layer etc. down onto a normal layer it changes the color, value, hue or all of the above. Do you have any suggestions?
