We finally finished editing this month's Draw With Me video and here it is! ๐๐ I decided to do something a little different and film some traditional sketching in the first pages of a new sketchbook I got from an art store a couple days ago! ๐ In this video I'll chat with you guys about why I'm sketching again (after not touching a sketchbook or a pencil in sooo long!) and why I'm sketching some things that are so different from what I normally draw! ๐

Yes exactly! ๐ That mentality has definitely given me art block as well, and itโs so unnecessary! Itโs a constant struggle, especially if there are so many styles and subjects you love and you donโt want to just stick to one area. Iโm happy you can relate! ๐

2021-03-15 13:34:09 +0000 UTCtotally relate to you. i think as social media artists, we think we must pick a niche or like a particular style to stand out or grow a following. like if u draw in a painterly style, only do that etc. i feel this thinking has given me art block so many times and its annoying. i wanna learn to paint in a semi realistic fashion but also learn hot to cartoonise my character or learn a comicbook ish type style. ofc its hard to do both but i think its possible. this video reminded me to dustoff my sketchbook as well ๐๐งก๐งก
