[P] 0010 - Entering the Dungeon

When morning arose and I buried the corpse of the Na'vi, I grabbed my weapons and mentally summoned the Dungeon Key.

Appearing before my eyes, was a small but simple iron key, which floated in the air.

Taking the key in hand, I thrust it into the air as If I was sliding the key into a lock.

Seeing the Key seemingly pierce into space, I simply turned the key as if unlocking a door.

Suddenly the key was sucked into the space, where a golden crack in space took the key's place.

Reaching out towards the crack, several screens appeared before me.

Seeing the three screens before me, I briefly read over the Dungeon Information, before pressing my hand against the [Enter Dungeon] screen.

With my Bow and stick quiver on my back, I gripped my stone spear tightly.

I also had my stone hatchet hung to my waist, along with a stone knife.

I thought of bringing along another Stone Spear, but since it would be forced to hang on my back, it would only get in my way.

Finding my body glowing in gold, I closed my eyes as I dissapared in a flash of blinding light.

When I felt my position shift, I opened my eyes, finding myself by the crack in an empty cave corridor.

WIth a dead end and the exit behind me, I had only one way in which I could proceed, and that was forward.

Griping my spear tightly, I marched on.

As I ventured deeper into the Dungeon, I soon came across my first foe, a strange small lizard in the shape of a human.

Hmmm, a Lizardman?

Either way, faced against my first foe, I scanned it from head to toe and found that it was only welding a wooden club and wore nothing but a loincloth.

Seemingly noticing me, the Lizardman roared before charging at me with its club raised in the air.

And just as swiftly as it began moving, it fell down with an arrow in its head.

Stupid.

Acceptable.

And after the Lizardman died, I was disgusted to find that it dissipated in light and left behind its dirty loincloth and wooden club.

Ignoring the awful loot, I continued on, soon stumbling across two more Lizardmen who both weilded the same weapons as the last Lizardman.

Just as easily as the first, the two Lizardmen died with arrows sticking out of their bodies.

This time they left behind a nothing but a scale, which I grabbed.

Continuing down the corridor I found that it led me into a strangely wide open room that seemed to have some vegetation, such as vines, moss, and grass.

Only now did I realize that I could see even though there was no visible source of light in sight, I could still see perfectly fine, which was somewhat of a problem since I could see around 7 more Lizardmen spread across the room.

This time only a few noticed me, but those quickly alerted the others of my presence when they charged and roared.

Without a second of hesitation, I started letting lose arrows, some hitting their target, others not.

Seeing them get to close for comfort, I slung the bow onto my back and grabbed my spear with one hand and threw a mana bolt at one of the lizardmen with my other.

Very quickly were the rest upon me.

The one that was hit by my Mana Bolt reached me first, and I ruthlusly thrust my spear through its chest, killing it.

As I tried fighting off the Lizardmen, the closer Lizardmen managed to get a couple hits off me, causing me to hiss in pain.

The four remaining Lizardmen wailed on me with their clubs, and knowing they would kill me if i let it continue, with my willpower I raised my spear and thrust it through the chest of one of the defenseless Lizardmen, before overcharging a Mana Bolt and firing it into another.

Hearing the sickening crunch of bones from the Lizardman who was hit by the Mana Bolt, I knew it was dead, moments later I got the death screens of both Lizardmen, leaving me with two left.

With the two other Lizardmen stuned from their peer's deaths, I managed to finish them both off as well, leaving me with the screens before me.
