[P] 0020 - Three Months In

[A/N: Man, it took me over a week to write this chapter, work has been killing me X< ]

Three months eventually passed since I started this trial, and I've grown quite a bit, leveling up twice to level 9, leveling many of my skills, and even gaining a couple of new ones such as Sewing, Carving, Mana Engraving, Mana Growth, Blacksmithing, Trapping, and Fishing.

The last two skills I should have gotten long ago, but for some reason unknown to me, they took a while to get.

I guess to get those two skills I had to successfully trap or fish multiple times, which by my count, was 15 times for both.

Other than that, I have built many spear pits across the Jungle around my home for the Na'vi and that fearsome creature I ran into a while back that seemed to be capable of easily killing me, and have managed to forge some Bronze and Iron tools and items.

As for my efforts in Mana Engraving, I have only been able to successfully make a single Engraving Rune without it exploding on me.

It was a rune of a simple bear that I managed to carve onto my stone hatchet, and from what I have noticed, it seems to increase my health, stamina, and strength when I wield it.

Although, from what my Status tells me, it's only a small increase...specifically, 5 HP, 5 SP, and a single point of Strength...

I also wanted to see if I could put multiple Engravings on an item, but so far, I have not had a second successful creation.

Typically when I fail to create the Engraving, the item is destroyed along with the Engraving Rune, so I have only been testing it on my simple stone tools instead of my Bronze or Iron tools.

Since I successfully created a Bear Engraving, I have been focusing only on that Engraving Rune in hopes that I could increase my chances of succeeding.

To Engrave, I had to focus Mana on my Iron Sculpting Tool and imbue my mana into the Engraving and carve out an image, the worse the image the worse the effects of the Engraving will be, but also I also have to focus my Intent, Will, and Image on the Engraving, if anything goes wrong, such as a mistake or fluctuation of the image, the entire Engraving can fail.

To say Engraving was complex would be an understatement, but the advantages of the Engraving Runes were too much to ignore.

If a horribly carved Engraving of a Bear managed to give me not only Attributes but also a Stat, how much would it give if it was perfect or just decent quality?

I still had so much to learn but not enough time.

...

The next day I started by checking all of my traps and pitfalls before checking up with my Undead which now numbered three dozen Ly'hmie birds that I have spread out across the Jungles.

Alpha has even found two Na'vi camps or villages, one in a plane where they mainly trained and used Horses in their daily lives and another village in the Jungle that focused on hunting.

It's from these two villages that the Na'vi came, but I doubt these are the only Villages of Na'vi in this world.

Besides that, I had around a dozen Ly'hmie Birds watching the Jungles around my home and exploring.

And to my shock, some of my Ly'hmie birds have even found a strange new biome, one that contained a great anomaly, floating mountains, and hills...

And flying through these floating Mountains was what appeared to be yet another Apex Predator, but this one was a flyer, and from what I could see through the eyes of my Ly'hmie, was the flying predators numbered in the hundreds, if not thousands in number!

Just what kind of planet is this?!

It's chock full of anomalies!

And another strange this is, I could have sworn that I saw some Na'vi riding these strange flying predators, but I must be mistaken.

I doubt that they could manage to tame such a fearsome predator.

And unluckily, that same Ly'hmie was the first undead I lost since hours after the discovery of those flying apex predators, it was eaten by one of them.

Speaking of my Undead, I had most of them train in the dungeon with me, and most are now up to level 5 or 6, except Alpha since he is far away.

I mainly focused on their perception when it came to using the free stats they gain with levels to make them better observers and watchers.

Most of them currently matched or even surpassed my own Perception.

Another thing that's happened is, that I found out I could enhance the quality and speed of growth of a plant using my Mana, and even got a skill from it called

From what I found, it takes around a month to farm some of my vegetables, giving yet another way of getting food. It even enhanced the taste of the vegetables.

So not only was I growing vegetables, but I was also growing some wild berries and was even taking care of some trees and vines that bore fruit.

Other than that, I have also finally reached the 10th floor in the Dungeon and came across my first Boss, the Red Lizardman King, who seems to live in a giant castle along with hundreds of other red Lizardmen.

Even though I could handle a few of the Lizardmen with my current strength, I could not take a heavily fortified castle crawling with hundreds of Lizardmen of varying power from Level 10 to 30, and the King is what I would assume to be an even higher level.

Even though I knew of the existence of the King, I never was able to get close enough to examine it and its possible strengths. Annoyingly, I haven't yet found the crack that leads to the next floor, leading me to believe that it could be housed in the King's treasury which is located just behind its throne, where the King resides at all times.

All I knew of the Red Lizardman King was that it was equipped with a greatsword, was larger than a human, and was equipped with bright silver and golden armor with its shiny golden crown on top of its head.

Oh yeah, should I mention the fact that it seemed to have an Elite Guard that guarded the King at all times?

And that very same Guard managed to locate and kill the Ly'hmie watching the King within the hour?

As you could probably figure out, I opted to stop delving into the dungeon then and there.

Well, at least until I can safely beat all of the Lizardmen on that floor.

From the four floors I cleared, I earned no skills but did earn some items.

Specifically, two small Mana Stones, a Fire-Resistance potion called , something called a Holo-tape, a chunk of Obsidian, multiple healing potions, and something called a Focus.

Besides whatever a Holo-tape and Focus were, from what I could tell, they were some kind of machinery, and as of right now, I had no idea of what they could do, so I just carried them in my pouch.

I was thinking of purchasing the Insight feature from the System Shop, but ended up just rejecting that thought in favor of saving my points.

After doing my daily routine and chores, along with cooking me up a nice meal made of some herbs, cooked fish, and some wild vegetables.

After I ate my dinner I checked on my undead once more before laying down in my uncomfortable bed and checking my status before I go to bed.
