[Encanto] C: 5 - Events set into motion
Added 2023-05-28 15:19:28 +0000 UTCI spent the next several weeks talking with my Uncle, slowly getting him back on track.
I talked with him daily, even seeing Dolores talking to him every couple of days, I gifted him books, and talked with him, helping him through his loneliness.
It seemed he had never used his power to gleam into me, which was a huge relief since I'd rather not know in fear of what 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 happen. He was becoming much more cheerful over time due to having someone to talk to and because I frequently visited him.
I even talked to him about his power, but even still it was a sore subject for him, but I do think he felt at least a tiny bit better about his power since I revealed that I did not think of it as a curse or that he's evil.
...
Years quickly passed by as I continued to strive and help the family and village.
Many of the kids have begun working around the village, using what Mirabel and I taught them to use, the village was thriving, and I honestly felt proud, but...also bored.
It didn't feel like enough, I wanted to learn, explore, and so much more, but I felt trapped.
No, not trapped here in Encanto, more like I felt trapped in this reality, it felt like there were not nearly enough things I could do, learn, or explore that I haven't already learned, explored, or done.
I've been teaching my little brother Antonio as much as I could about animals, insects, and other fauna, and he absorbed all of it up like a sponge, always curious and wanting to know more.
So, I also began teaching him about evolution and basic biology which he also loved.
His gifting ceremony was in tomorrow night as well...so that means the time was approaching.
And I also noticed my gift was out of control at times...
I was concerned, but I wasn't going to interfere, not only in fear of somehow making it worse but also because the family 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 this. I will however make sure to keep everyone safe.
[A/N: If you haven't seen the movie, no worries, I am not going to spoil it and in fact, am just going to half-ass this]
The events of the movie quickly passed before my eyes as I shadowed Mirabel, making sure nothing went awry and that the plot was as close as possible to what I remembered.
And before I even knew it, we were at the point of no return.
Mirabel met Uncle Bruno and got him to use his gift when I couldn't, even after great effort.
Then, Mirabel made up with her sister Isabela and helped her even more than I could have.
And...right after, while every one of our family was in the courtyard, Mirabel was confronted by Abuela who accused Mirabel of intentionally hurting and tearing the family apart.
That's right, Abuela accused the very person who was trying her hardest to keep the family together, of trying to break it apart.
Cracks rapidly formed across the ground and walls, Castia's candle clearly struggling to stay lit.
Then, Mirabel told Abuela that she was the one actually hurting the family, and everything went to hell.
Casita began crumbling apart, walls fell, and Mirabel, being brave rushed out to get the Candle before it could get destroyed with the help of Casita, who used the crumbling walls, tiles, and whatever else it could to get her up to it.
She managed to get the candle and rushed down the path Castia built for her, only for it to collapse.
I noticed a wall coming down towards her, and before I knew it, I charged forward and pushed her out of the way and toward her parents, leaving myself to face the wall.
I called forth my gift only to freeze, feeling no response.
As I watched the wall coming down at me in what felt like slow motion, I noticed the glow of everyone's door intensifying before dimming, and my door seemed to shine bright like a shining star in the void, I looked towards my family and could see the candle in Mirabel's hand shinning as bright as it possibly could before the wall came down upon me.
I got one last good look at my family and felt proud of what I achieved in this life of mine.
It seemed as though even Casita tried its best to save me, I wasn't going to make it out alive, and so, I accepted my fate, knowing I wouldn't be able to use my gift to save myself in time.
Then...pain.
Little did I know, Casita used all the magic it had access to, to save me in a way I never expected.
----
In a blink of an eye, before Salem could react, Casita focused the magic fueling all of the other gifts into Salem's door and by extension, her gift, forcing it to evolve and before Salem could be completely crushed, a crack in space appeared beneath her body just as she was getting crushed by the rubble, allowing her to fall through. She was hurt, but Casita had hope that she would be able to recover wherever she went.
Casita focused on holding the connection it had with Salem, giving her a beacon she could follow, Casita would hold onto the connection for as long as it could until the lost daughter returned home.
And while Family Madrigal might think Salem is dead, for now, they'd soon learn she still lived.
---
Meanwhile, far north in a land filled with ruins of old, lay a mysterious structure just outside of a village, on a large cliff, a bridge in disrepair connecting it to the village just outside.
Deep within this structure in a courtyard covered in snow and freezing cold to anyone but the natives of the land, a few groups could be seen practicing what could only be described as magic.
Inside the building, on a private floor, a strange-robed man with ashy black skin, red eyes, and pointed ears could be seen reading through a book while sitting down at a table and drinking a nice cup of hot tea.
Suddenly he choked as he felt an incredibly oppressive amount of magic coming from the courtyard.
He immediately dashed outside at the fastest speed possible and couldn't help but gawk as a crack formed in space, and a bloody body was sent flying through before it closed.
He rushed forward, and found a woman wearing a strange dress colorful dress bleeding profusely, "Someone get Collete!"
The mages in the area rushed off to find the Expert Level Restoration Mage while the dark elf created a barrier around the girl to keep her warm and prevent frostbite from quickly worsening her condition.
The dark elf may not be very knowledgeable in Restoration, but he'd at least be able to keep the injured...Imperial? Stable until the expert gets here and can heal them.
Soon enough, a short Breton with short brown hair arrived on the scene, "Savos, what happened? Who is this?"
"Don't know, she arrived here through some means of teleportation but now is not the time, she needs healing," The Dark Elf replied.
Mages of various schools of magic surrounded the area, watching the spectacle unfold.
The woman got down to her knees and immediately, a golden glow encompassed her hand and golden light began to shine over the unknown woman's wounds.
Bones and wounds were mended at rapid speeds, and after a few minutes of great effort, the woman was healed.
"Get her inside, she needs rest. We will question her when she wakes," Savos spoke out, getting a few of the female mages in the area to carry her to one of the side buildings and put her down in an empty room.
...
Hissss.
"Fuckkk I feel sore...what happened?" I spoke out and looked around the room I found myself in.
It was a relatively empty and small room, with just a bed, some empty shelves, an empty bookshelf, a small round table and chair, and a desk.
Opposite to the bed, I found myself in, was a closed wood door.
I took a deep breath and went over what I remembered.
I remembered being crushed under rubble after saving my cousin, and then pain.
Did I die and reincarnate again?
But wait...I can feel my gift...wait, it feels...different.
Tapping into my gift, I found that everything was different...strange.
My senses seemed to stretch out to my surroundings, I could 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 everything around me as If I was touching them.
I could even feel the things that should be invisible, air, heat, cold, and...something strange yet oddly familiar in the air.
Did I somehow obtain spatial perception? It feels as if I could see everything in a short distance around me, even with my eyes closed.
Suddenly, I could feel the door's knob turning, my eyes quickly opened, and I readied myself for the unknown.
Someone walked in and I immediately grabbed onto them with Gravity, stopping them from being able to move.
Then I saw who...no what they were.
A dark almost charcoal-like skin, red eyes, somewhat wrinkly skin pointed ears, and wearing a strange fur hooded robe.
No...It can't be.
"Am I in skyrim?"
