[Encanto] 10 - Progress

"Back to my previous question, what did you mean when you told me I was 25% of the way there?" I asked, curious.

"The Magicka you contain is around a fourth of what was coming off the portal," The Augur explained.

"And how much Magicka would you say I contain right now?" I asked, curious.

"Your capacity is equivalent to three Archmages, it is astonishing how one as young as you is capable of holding so much at such a young age," The Augur commented in its monotone voice.

"So you are saying I would need to be at the level of twelve separate Archmages in Capacity?"

"That is correct, though that is not accounting for other difficulties when opening and passing through such a Portal," the Augur noted.

"Such as?" I asked.

"I do not know, it depends on how the dimensions are shaped, and how it all works, Are Dimensions stacked on top of one another? With simple walls being what separates us? Or is it somewhat like this 'Space' you told me of, where Dimensions are like the very stars of a Universe, with the void separating Dimensions?" The Augur wondered.

"Hmm...I guess we will eventually find out," I told him.

"So we shall, If I may ask, what do you plan on doing here at the school?" The Augur asked, curious but still stoic in tone.

"Learn magic, improve myself, earn money, and if I can, hopefully, improve the College's situation and its relationship with Winterhold," I told the Augur.

"How will you go about improving the school?" The Augur asked, curious.

"First, I want to set up an Alchemical Greenhouse in the Midden and expand the College's facilities to make use of the space that Midden has plenty of, and if possible, see if I could get the Archmage to help me with this project of mine. If the school could grow and produce its own Alchemical ingredients, it would be able to be self-sufficient when it comes to Potions and ingredients, not to mention we could become the supplies of Alchemical Ingredients to a wide variety of Alchemists that call Skyrim home, earning the School some profit," I explained.

"Plus, we could build specific training rooms where students can test their magic in a safe environment, and set up so much more, the potential is limitless, with the only thing holding it back being imagination," I continued.

"I see, so you wish to improve the school by adding a way it can earn money and a good reputation," The Augur commented.

"Oh, that's not all, just wait, By the time I am done the Winterhold and the College will be on their way to becoming the best hold in all of Skyrim," I confidently told him.

"However, I'll probably only spend around a year learning here at the College, I still want to go out and explore Skyrim," I told the Augur honestly, having some plans regarding gathering various artifacts, and meeting multiple people.

"I see...I will not stop you or reveal your origins, however, if you seek knowledge about Magic, I will trade with you," The Augur informed me.

"What all do you know?" I asked, curious.

"All spells, rituals, enchantments, potions, and Magic that have been taught or have entered this College since its founding are available to me, and therefore, available to you, for a price."

"Hmm...what about Lava Whip? Spiked Armor? Molten Weapons? Any of those ringing a bell?" I asked, mentioning some spells from a class featured in Elder Scrolls Online.

"I know them," The Augur answered simply.

I continued talking with the Augur, learning that he knew quite a bit, even knowing things from before his time since becoming the entity he now was, and I traded some information for some decent spells I knew would come in handy, such as Lightning Form, Sun Aura, Restoring Aura, Searing Strike, and several Druidic Spells.

All at the cost of going over the history of Greek and Roman Mythology.

It was honestly well worth it, thankfully I was able to actually remember the stories regarding the Legends due to that memory spell, making it as simple as reciting what I knew.

As for how it 'taught' me the spells, the Augur created a strange string that flowed from its core to my mind, implanting all the knowledge into my brain.

Of course, I planned on trading for that knowledge transfer technique in the future, I could already see quite a few things I could use it for.

I won't lie, I had some pretty big aspirations and goals, Who wouldn't in a world they had future knowledge of?

I didn't plan on staying in Skyrim forever, but if I could somehow get strong enough to travel back home, surely I would be able to freely travel between both planes, right?

If I could do that, then I would be able to guarantee the protection and rise of Encanto!

Leaving the Chamber that housed the Augur, I climbed back up the Midden and climbed out, finding myself back in the courtyard of the College.

Entering the hall of Elements, I opened the left door in the first room and began climbing up the stairs that led to the Archmage's room.

Knocking, I waited a few moments before a voice called out from the other side.

"You may come in," The Archmage informed me.

Opening the door, I walked into the Archmage's Quarters, a large open circular room with an alchemical garden at its center, and his bedroom hidden behind a wall that separated it from the garden.

Bookcases, shelves, an Enchanting and Alchemy table, and more lined the walls.

Glowing blue balls of light hung in the air around the room, illuminating it.

Standing in front of the garden, was Savos Aren, the Archmage and the Headmaster of the College.

"Yes, Miss Madrigal? For what reason have you knocked on my door so late at night?" He asked, clearly tired and impatient.

"I cleared out the Midden of all creatures, and spoke with the Augur of Dulain," I told him truthfully.

"What?" He asked, now wide awake and baffled.

With a flash of a spell, he seemed to be refreshed, as if he had taken a cold shower and cleared his mind.

"You cleared the Midden? And spoke with the Augur of Dunlain?" Savos asked, confused.

"Correct," I replied.

Sighing, he walked over to a small table where he beckoned me.

Both of us sat down, he waved his hand, and a hot teapot along with two cups appeared on the table.

Sipping the tea, I hummed, "This tea is good, though I prefer my Tea Cold and sweet, no offense," I told him, as I cast frostbite on the cup, causing a visible icy sheen to spread across the cup rapidly cooling the tea.

"None taken, If I may ask, why have you come here? Do you have questions in regards to the Augur or the Midden?" Savos asked, curious.

"No, instead, I have a proposal, one that will help reinvigorate the College and perhaps even allow Winterhold to become one of the best holds of Skyrim," I told him, getting straight to the point.

"In case you haven't noticed, the people of Winterhold are not fans of Mages or Magic," Savos informed me.

"I'll take care of that, don't worry," I replied with a wave of my hand.

"What do you propose?" He asked.

"I propose a partnership of sorts," I started.

"What do you mean?"

"I have a project in mind, one that will hopefully allow the College to earn quite a bit of gold, and reputation. Not only that, but we would also be able to supply Alchemists across Skyrim, whether it be in raw ingredients or already-made potions. What I want to do, is reshaping the Midden to become not only a Greenhouse where the College can grow a wide variety of ingredients in a short amount of time but also provide the College with more facilities, such as a dedicated targeting range, ritual chamber, panic room, and so much more," I continued.

"While most of that is for the future, what I wanted help with now, is creating a 'Greenhouse' in the Midden that can grow a wide variety of Alchemical Ingredients, at least enough to the point where the College's needs would be self-sufficient," I explained.

"I...see, and where do you want my help in all of this?" He asked, curious.

"For starters, I guess I'd like some Magical help, but eventually? I'd like to turn the Greenhouse into a facility controlled and maintained by the school, but, I want a cut of the profits, a measly 5% to be exact," I informed him.

"Why would you want a cut of the profits? What's stopping me from completing such a project by myself?" Savos asked, with a raised eyebrow.

"Simple, you do not know the magic, nor rituals to make such a project succeed," I told him honestly.

"What makes you think I don't?" He asked, challenging me.

"Simple, the Augur knows you don't, seeing as the spells it taught me were considered 'lost," I explained, confident and calm.

"Wait...did you just say it taught you?" Savos asked, mouth open and eyebrows raised in surprise.
