Robot tubes: Sketches and Scraps
Added 2020-12-18 01:29:49 +0000 UTCI had more concept sketches and thrown out panels than usual with the latest commission and i decided to show them. I'll talk about them in order.
1. This is the first thumbnail sketch i did of the tf. Here the metal mannequin thing is actually alive and "pulled" her onto her. decided to go with a different method but you can see that one scene/panel still made it in the final design
2. A later thumbnail sketch, here you can see that the main events were sort of set in stone at this point. The idea here involved the covering of the metal figure more.
3. Here is practice for making the frames for the 3 pages, as well as some warm-up drawings.
4. This is a scrapped attempt at the first page. I crossed out what i had done so that there wasn't any way for me to stubbornly come back to it.
5. Scrapped attempt at the last page, the tf here lacked feeling of impact and I wanted the robot design to be different.
6. This was me drawing from references and trying to get used to the robot design i would be making. There's even a quick draw of robot girl in the style.
