The Brownstone Collection

I was hoping to get it released this weekend as I know that most of you only get to play at the weekend, but there are just too many good swatches standing in my way of completing this :)
I always start each object and get a few test swatches done and then move onto the next object mesh, only fully adding in all the swatches during the last few days of the month. This time I tested out the plaster texture on the counters and I was hoping I would hate it, but I love it, so I need to make sure I see this one through. As a result there are A LOT of swatches that need to be done.
So I hope the preview of the plaster texture and the new seamless sink 👀 will hold you for another day until everything is perfected 💜

03/03 - Quick update that I still need a couple of days to wrap up this months set. Its been a hugely busy month, even though it was a shorter one, so everything is taking me so much longer to do than usual...I need a day off asap! 🙏
But I absolutely need to make sure that all of the built in appliances make it into this set before I release. I'm working on the stove, hob & oven set currently & then I need to make sure everything is cohesive. But above is the table I've already completed. This kitchen has a lot of surface space! It also comes in a 3 tile version, but after taking this shot I think it might make a cute single tile table too, so I'll see if I can do a mesh edit to also add that in.

Starting next month (March) I will be starting to release items as part of the Brownstone Collection. Its going to be a set that spans over 3 months to bring you items inspired by the Brownstones of New York. And the first month will be yet another kitchen! 😁 I also plan in month 2 to create a set of windows and doors, so that you can also create the exterior of your brownstone and then in the thrid and final month we will be tackling the living area.
It is a shorter month this month, so I'm currently in a race against time to get all the items I have planned out of my head and into the game. Its going to be a more minimalist asthetic this time around, but still have a splash of warmth through vintage pieces.
And most importantly moving forward I really want to put into action all that I have learnt so far to bring you a better set every month. With the Livin' Rum collection we really both let go and created the items of our dreams, so that is going to be my philosophy moving forward. I also learnt in design school that first you have to learn the rules, so that you know which ones can be broken. The example of that is the kitchen island pictured above. I decided that instead of ticking all the expectations of a kitchen island, I would experiment and bring you a statement piece that is actually not made to be sat at. Of course your sims can still prep their food there etc, but its not exactly what you expect when you hear the word kitchen island...and I like that. The island is made up of 3 parts, left, middle and right, but it also works well when only 2 of the pieces are used for a smaller kitchen. As this is going to be a more minimalist look with cleaner lines there are also going to be a variety of high end built in appliances to complete the look.
I'm really excited to share this with you next month and I'll keep you updated along the way
