Dabbler coloring in progress

Dabbler looks super weird with purple hair, like one of those people with tan skin and sandy blond hair.

Which makes Eric's comment more valid. I always found black people with dyed blonde hair unsettling, as well as Chinese or Japanese. It may indeed be related to them having hair lighter-coloured than their skin. Since Dabbler's purple hair is darker than her skin... well, it's okay with me... :-) And I think somebody is going to make some very, very loud noise.

You must not have met very many African Americans (or African people in general). While it's true that most of them have more of a dark brown skin tone, I did go to school with a guy who was just about #000000 and have seen others like him since.

There's still a color difference, humans don't come in hexcode #000000. However, anyone I've seen whose skintone almost or precisely matches their hair does look a little weird.

I disagree about the weirdness. I think what's weird is when the hair color is lighter than the skin. Most blonds have really fair skin too. That's why the tan skin/blond hair looks weird, to me anyway.

Agreed on the weirdness factor. On the flip side, strangely enough, African Americans don't look weird with black hair. Strange how humans perceive hair color, isn't it?
