Eh, probably not. They're obviously a regional arm if not he head of some supernatural governing council. They probably have some deal with human governments going that they have to be kept up to date of any threats tot he veil. As mentioned in much earlier comics, they had to up Sydney's security clearance and this is part of doing it. That said, the council probably won't share that info with *everyone* or all the details, just "Hey, this is one person you have to add to your 'She's allowed, don't kill her when she knows too much' list."
