In other words, if the author wants to drop the conversation and get on with the plot, just get the violence started and let the heroes catch up later! Also, it's nice that Sydney is disciplined enough to restrict using Max's "priority ringtone" to things that are actually a priority. Though I wonder why she bothered to use the word "imminent", given that most people can't spell it if they have to type fast.
