Updated the page with a caption to ease the transition from the previous page.
Thanks for the response. I saw it there, just not here. Given my experience with Patreon, I wanted to make sure they hadn't locked me out of viewing Grll Power.

Is there an issue with the latest comic?
I'm not seeing it on Patreon.

The threat is implied, evidently

At least I understand now why Sydney was yelling at the sky in the last page... kind of.

I too, would ask these questions. Probably not straight to a vampires face, mind.

I had no problem with the transition from going to boring class to some time after class.

Bat Facts! I can only assume inspiration for the bats themselves come from flying foxes. These bats can have up to a 1m (little over a yard) of wingspan, and subsist entirely off sugar and pollen. I highly doubt a vamp would want to turn into these huge bats, they are easy targets and... very un-vampire-like in their eating habits.

I'm trying to think about how other comics handle scene changes. I guess I read too much manga, because I can really only think of pages of long shots of city scapes and just random background art like shots of subway stations or kids walking to school to punctuate scene and time jumps. Other than that, I guess most western comics just use the "meanwhile" or "later that evening." I guess I need to pay more attention to that stuff while reading. But I also don't want to give you guys a page where effectively nothing happens cause I'm establishing a new scene.

Love the panels, love what happens... But yeah, the transition was really TOO abrupt.

Dave's comments on the GP site indicate that he skipped over a boring rest of the day.

You know, I almost don't care that the transition was abrupt. We still get cute bats, Sydney being Sydney, and Maxima being Maxima.

Sort of. It's not a complete sentence on its own. I could see someone phrasing it that way, tho.

I feel left out, did I miss something?

I feel like Maxima missed an opportunity here. She could have utilized Sydney as an advanced interrogation tool. A few more minutes of rapid fire geekery from Sydney and that vampire would have been begging for Maxima to intervene.

... did I miss a comic? We went from Dabbler possibly fixing Jabberwokky, a brief sky jerk interlude and now there's a horde of unconcious bats?

Stick an interrogative tone of voice on it and almost anything is a question.
