1st note: the Weird Super Non-Aerodynamic Ship is FRAK’N huge an scary still. Sure would be interesting if her flight Orb, in space, accelerated at Mach 4... She'd pass the moon and be on a deceleration trip before she realized she was going that fast. I don't remember what her acceleration rate is, even if she does top out at about 3044 mph. In atmosphere... So assuming its say mach 1. Read more if you're bored. 2nd note: I went way way down the rabbit hole on this one. TL, DR: Sydney would end up where ever she wants pretty soon to her and a very long time from when she left due to relativity. Unless she’s got a “hyper space orb”… Assuming Mach 1 acceleration, Does she go from zero to Mach 4 instantly? Even Mach 1 would still make anyone not in her bubble red jelly (other than you know... super heroes) pretty much instantly. Ok, showing the math. Rounding at .00 so it doesn’t get too silly. Sillier. Ok, so Mach 1 acceleration is 20.42 KM Per second Per second. Or equivalent of 2079.43 gravities per second Mach 4 acceleration: 81.68 KM per second per second. 8317.72 Gravities per second per second. Frankly, ol Sydney is getting into some Honor Harrington books by David Weber “LOOK I’m A MISSLE!” kind of speeds. She would be doing .99 C (light speed really dang soon). Looked up how long to get to Light speed as 30 million seconds (30,000,000) at 1 gravity. At the mach 1 acceleration: 4 hours to .99 C at Mach 1 accel, mach 4, its 1 hour. If she blinks and stretches a bit to hard as she is heading for that moon… she’s gonna pass it by in literally an eyeblink. Look away too long? Yeah where did that moon and the planet go?

Well she is actively using the shield, and not doing so would currently mean an unpleasant end. Whether the orbs recognize that or it's just narrative convenience, it's just as well the skilltree is being patient.

I more or less known of the equation enough where I could find it with a quick google search and calculate known factors with a calculator but no net connection, too many things Sydney & Us don't know, and while grinding sucks, not as much as math does.

Sydney seems to be missing the very obvious... If the alien Squidwards start shooting at her, she REALLY doesn't want to be in an airless environment when (or if) her shield goes down.
