I just finished binge reading the first 400 or so pages of your great comic strip! Thank you so much and it is an honor to give you my measly dollar a month.

This is the part in the show that they always cut out. Where they stand around for a couple hours while the computer computes safe routes through the universe.

Grimfox

Nope, she called herself Mr. Scoville. IIRC, in the Star Trek universe, and some other fictons, "Mister" is a gender-neutral honorific, at least in military society. Going to check memory alpha.... Yes, I did recall correctly. ^_^

Foradain

Wait..Did she just call her right hand(or a finger *cringe*) Mr. Scoville? ^.^

Kitsone

Or Quantum Tunneling.

Justaguy

I'm guessing we're looking at a wormhole mechanic based on the diagram.

Justaguy

This is how I felt the first time I opened up Gimp. You just want to crop something and the next thing you know you’re looking at four dimensional space calculus.

Could you imagine being Neil and having to field that sort of call, though? β€œOK, describe the matrix. Uh huh. Uh huh. The fiddly bit? Uh huh. No, Sydney, I have no idea where you are. Is there a camera function? This would be so much easier if I could see what you’re looking at.”

JBomb110

Don't think she'd be all that pleased to see her comrade Math either.

Stephen Gilberg

This is why you need to have Neil DeGrasse Tyson on your speed dial.

Michael Obert

Heh heh heh. Just trying to go to that planet's moon showed Syd that Space is Big. And that's just a planet and its moon. Trying to go FTL with no idea of where she's going shows her how big the GALAXY is.

Nicholas Perrett

Sydney could really use a copy of Wormholes for Dummies.

Warren Woodard

Math? Why does it have to be Math??? To paraphrase a certain archaeologist πŸ˜€

Did she finally find the address book?

CyberSkull

The good news: Navigation & stellar cartography are online. The bad news: they aren't in English, Elvish, Klingon, or any other language Sydney understands.

PSadlon

Definitely not the sorta Math Syd wants to see.
