We must turn her to the dark side soon, Michael, soon...

Joseph Bonnar

God, I never thought about it before, but if Maxima went evil? She'd be one of the most terrifying villians ever. Because with her military mindset, she'd be freaking efficient, and wouldn't even think about doing 99% of the stuff on the evil overlord list. Then add the powers, and she'd be close to unstoppable!

And if you turn evil, you'll need all those countermeasures: see, it makes perfect sense ! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

I thought Maxima would take offense at Sydney's distrust of her moral compass. Anyway, unlike Batman, I'm not too comfortable with taking precautions in case a hero becomes a villain. I mean, 90+% of the time, unless you're dealing with an unstable antihero like the Hulk, those precautions are more likely to be a hindrance to teamwork. And hey, maybe you'll turn evil first.

We have top men working on it. Top... Men.

I laughed so hard at the wikileaks comment XD

I hope this comes up again. It would be cool to see a telepath or something like it worm the teleportation secret out of Maxima at a critical moment. Not because I want to see the good guys lose, but because it would make for some great character interaction afterwords.

Yeah. When I was in the Army, it wasn't even based on your security classification, even. I was a paramedic and as such I needed access to confidential medical files. So I had it. We got told in no uncertain terms that these files were NOT available to anyone outside the line of command of the base infirmary unless they got cleared by the Major in charge of it. And the one time a stupid lieutenant did try to nose in on our confidential material, the Major tore his hide off in strips. And there is a LOT of good logic behind need to know. What you don't know you can't spill. Not even to Maxima's (possibly) hypothetical telepath.

Simon Magid

Must not be structured like the mundane military, where pay grade / rank has little to nothing to do with clearance level. Need to know, is a way of life.

akrasia

Yeah well, Max deserves it. The more I think about it, the luckier America is to have her - officer material and everything. Think what a VILLAIN she'd make!

The curse of the bureaucracy system . . . the dreaded 'need to know'!
