It would be more like "γυϱ bɒd" and some people are pretty good at reading mirror text. I know some girls who used it to obscure the text in the notes they passed in grade school. Also, anybody on the alert wouldn't stand around discussing the exact text in question, they'd go investigate. For that matter, if they saw Sydney trying to communicate out-of-band, instead of showing their own lack of discipline by kvetching about Sydney's comms discipline and Maxine's fitness as a leader, they should assume there's a problem and investigate FIRST. THEN if it turns out Sydney is just goofing off, they can bring it up later when it's appropriate -- not in the middle of an emergency. Pixel needs to get over herself. Now.

That said, it seems like she should consider the possibility Sydney has surveillance on the perp from a point where they'd overhear coms, especially Sydney's end. Ok, to be fair, her first impression of Sydney did make that implausible. But that situation was very different from this situation. I mean, that was months ago. Sydney's aged several days since then. But also she's been on the job roughly twice as long as before, and she's not just found out her favorite fandom is about something that actually exists.
