It certainly looks like her other hand is free, not trapped under her body nor closed around the handle of the bag. So using both should be a possibility. Maybe she can't get the shield orb into her left hand without seeing where to send it?

Something something shield I said last week. The AAR (After Action Review) is gonna be brutal. Again. Anyone else getting a Doc. Octopus vibe off this whole thing? I'd guess that Sydney doesn't have nearly the same limits and probably considerably more strength in the TentacleOrb. Wasn't it something like 15-30 tons? I remember her being a bit depressed that she couldn't do the hundreds of tons that Max and Achilles (??) were lifting to put the overpass back together at the time.

The Great and Powerful Turtle? Now there's a superhero I haven't read in a long time. Heh... Martin did hint that Wild Cards might be showing up on screen once upon a time. I do wonder if Turtle, possibly that world's most powerful telekinetic, will show up if it does. :)

it's a good distraction tactic while Sydney extends the lighthook enough to create enough length and/or coverage to (hopefully) catch her. Plus this is Sydney, she has to get the quip in. Notice the arrow pointing to and the underlining of "Mighty". The word her assailant excluded from her preferred full call sign ;)

It sounds more like she's a fanatic working from extremely limited and distorted information. I'm sure that'll be considered a mitigating factor in her upcoming arrest for vigilantism, kidnapping and endangering a minor, and assaulting a duly appointed officer of law enforcement.

If she were smart, she'd just take the capture now. Cause when Syd can move again it's just gonna get much MUCH worse. But given she did kidnap a literal teenager who barely knows how to handle her own body to interrogate for secrets of the inner workings of demon/supernatural governance, it's pretty much established she is not to bright.
